Small correction there, 'pod... The NC FReepers and many other North Carolinians are hard at work planning one.
I'll be there on the big day, as a participant, but they're doing all the legwork.
It's weird not having to do anything but show up.
TaxRelief - please be sure and ping me if/when you post other threads related to the Fun in Fayetteville. Have you passed the word on to the other branches of the service who have bases nearby? Aren't Seymour Johnson AFB, Pope AFB and Cherry Point MCAS/Camp Lejeune MCB near enough for folks in those areas to drive on over, too? (You've probably already covered that, now that I think about it.)
See you in a few weeks!

I haven't heard much from them recently. Perhaps Uncle Fidel or Uncle Kim has recalled them?

Question: How come we found out so late about this march? As unappealing as it sounds, you have to check their sites on a regular basis. They are prolific writers. I spend almost as much time surfing around the lefty sites as I do on FR - checking out what our opponents are up to, and taking notes. Gee, I hope that doesn't make them more paranoid...

Another small correction: The planning is a joint effort of the SC Freepers and the NC FReepers. We have made some really good contacts in Fayetteville and they are reaching out to some of the surrounding bases. I had forgotten about Cherry Point, though. I believe there is a group of Craven County pilots who may be able to help with that one though. :-)
Soon as permits are confirmed and hotel is arranged, we will start a new thread.

Although it looks as though they are 'retreating', I would keep March 20 open! I don't see any reason for them NOT to march, location is just not set yet.
Let's meet 'em and greet 'em!

I doubt we will be able to meet them. Things have changed quite a bit from Rogers Park last year and I would bet that these clowns will be pretty much fenced in by Chicago's finest.

Let's meet 'em and greet 'em! See my coments on local board. I am ready.

Was that Federal Plaza last year? That was a hell of a crowd and I recall that the police were extremely receptive to our crowd as opposed to the scruffy mopes at the other side of the plaza.

You guys were great. I remember the bikers and the veterans all as wide as me. It is always a wonder why the Republicans can't get it together in Chicago. It seems like there can be a lot of organized support. I know how hard you guys work and are as active. Keep up the good work.
