[history]
Never mind "The Passion of the Christ" will likely prove a hit, Mel taking a hit from Hollywood types.
One tells the New York Daily News he's all but a marked man. Directors will avoid him. And one goes so far as to say audiences will move on from him. No more "Lethal Weapon" sequels. No more "Signs."

"I think it's the subject. I think ... it's Jesus. Too religious. "True.
Gibson will win on this one...BECAUSE it IS about the subject....

I probably will make an exception to see it, except that I'm not going to be part of the crowd that lines up for miles in the first week. I think this is a movie that I'd appreciate more in a largely vacant theater.

I have not seen a movie for about 10 years in a movie theater, but I think that I will go and see this one. We've never pre-purchased tickets but we just bought two for Thursday evening.

I think they knew their integrity was on the line. I guess they have some, I'll give them that. Ebert seemed pretty sincere, the other guy...I'm not so sure.

I can't remember the last time I have been to see a movie and We have already have tickets to see this movie Wednesday at 2:00 pm. I hope this movie breaks all records and I believe it will. So then the Hollywood bum will know we will not go see movie they make are trash.

I'm hoping he uses the money and starts his own studio that makes religious and family films.
To: cibco
May I add a little to your movie title; namely, "The Passions of the Whores of Babylon," starring many of the elitist hollyweird women.
To: LisaMalia
The other guy, Roper i believe, is consistent in praising movies that are not "homophobic". It seems to be his pet subject, based on those types of comments it was surprising for the thumbs up for a movie that has a right and wrong, good and evil, temptation and redemption.
To: cavtrooper21
Maybe that should be the big push. Send a message to Hollywood, go see "The Passion..." on Sunday night instead of watching the Oscars.
To: cavtrooper21
Every studio in Hollywood will "green light" any movie with Mel Gibson in the future. His movies make money. And "bottom line" is what gets their attention.
To: Doomonyou
Most likely hollyweird will try and duplicate this with left leaning religious "heros".
Homosexual Bishop: The Movie
The Florist's Gospel: The pro-homosexual forgotten gospel.
Fifi the Mayor: The SF story.
