[history]
State Attorney General Bill Lockyer on Saturday rebuffed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's demand that he force an end to San Francisco's same-sex marriages, calling the directive political rhetoric.
"The governor can direct the Highway Patrol. He can direct the next 'Terminator 4' movie if he chooses. But he can't direct the attorney general in the way he's attempted to do," Lockyer said, adding that Schwarzenegger's written directive "was a statement designed for consumption at the Republican convention."

Pigs are wonderful animals--intelligent, affectionate, and tasty. I don't think we should denigrate them with comparison to rats.

Well I put together an AMD64 3000+ system with 1 Gigabyte of Kingston Hyperx Kinston PC 4000 Ram and 400 Gig of Disk , has 2 - 18 gig SCSI Atlas (10K rotational speed) drives , a 250 gig Maxtor (7200 rpm speed and a 120 gig Western Digital, and a ATI AIW 9600 Pro video and other stuff. And I am looking at putting a 36 gig Raptor Western Digital (10 K rotational speed ) in for XP Pro residence.
Its fast enough for every thing I am doing!

Morality isn't an absolute Have you discussed this opinion of yours with God?

Pretty much how I see things, myself. Human nature in the wild, I guess.
Folks generally do not know what to do, or to think, and don't do much thinking anyway. Truth scares them, as it does everyone.
Folks have little insight into their own decision making, nor realize how completely it is a product of emotion. Leads to some interesting behaviour.
This is the politician's meat and drink, though a politician doesn't think in these terms, I think.
