Vietnam Vets Blow Kerry's Hypocrisy

He boasts on an armed services record on behalf of the United States of America. Yet he was anti-US when in the armed services. Hypocrisy in its most elementary form. No wonder the Vietnam Vets are not tolerating John Forbes Kerry’s hypocrisy harangue stretched out.

He said in his address to Yale University classmates at the 1966 graduation: "The United States must, I think, bring itself to understand that the policy of intervention that was right for Western Europe does not and cannot find the same application to the rest of the world."

According to Washington Times’ Charles Hurt, Kerry, in the next five years, called US political leadership "deserters" and "war criminals" because of their efforts concerning the Vietnam War. He went on to characterize US troops in Vietnam as unfeeling murderers. He also excited protesters in the US by throwing away war medals — those very same medals 13 years later he would reveal didn’t belong to him.

Hypocrisy. Political opportunism. Double-tongued. That’s Kerry.

According to Hurt, Kerry said in 1971: "’These are the commanders (top commanders of US forces in Vietnam) who have deserted their troops. And there is no more serious crime in the laws of war."

Kerry must conclude that Americans have a short memory. Also, that the young have no knowledge of the Vietnam War, therefore he can recite whatever he wants to their innocent ears. Consequently, he goes on and on about his Silver Star, Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts. This he considers the base for his political career. More of such self-stroking has been increased to a screeching pitch since becoming a Democratic candidate for the US Presidency.

"’As I look around at my crewmates and the veterans here today, I am reminded that the best lessons I learned about being an American came in a place far away from America — on a gunboat in the Mekong Delta with a small crew of volunteers. I saw courage both in the Vietnam War and in the struggle to stop it. I learned that patriotism includes protest, not just military service.’"

There are those listening to his lauding himself for brave service who do not believe he was injured to the extent he claims when he was shipped back home early. Further, there is suspicion concerning his valor that yielded five medals come upon within five months.

"’If I got three Purple Hearts for three scratches, I'd be embarrassed,’ said Ted Sampley, who fought in Vietnam and publishes U.S. Veteran Dispatch. He remembers soldiers turning away awards for minor injuries."

It was when Kerry returned home that he was given a desk job in New York. That prompted his traveling about in antiwar rallies, championing war protesters to keep on keeping on.

"’He gets this cushy job in his hometown, goes around protesting the war, then asks to get out six months early,’ Mr. Sampley said. ‘What regulations were busted when Kerry — as a Naval officer and still on the payroll — was flying around protesting the war? And who had to stand in and fight for John Kerry after he left six months early?’"

With that, Sampley started the Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry. And so the beat goes on and on and on—rightfully so.

It is too early for the RNC to forcefully counter each and every accusation of the liberals.

The plans are there and they will be implemented at the appropriate time.

It's tough watching them run wild and virtually unchallenged, but this phase will soon be over.

'Kerry must conclude that Americans have a short memory

You are right in that they do depend on this. I'd take it one step further. They Rats are quite sophisticated in the art of propaganda and they realize that almost half the electorate are illiterate, stupid sheeple and thus vulnerable to any knee jerk diatribe they hear from the TV news...where most sheeple get their news. These folks survive on headlines. Text is above their education level and so is research and the ability to operate a computer, much less use a library reference system. "Just give 'em their VCR, their loud muffler and their 500W woofer and they'll be as happy as pigs at the trough."

I don't agree with you.

The herd animals known as the American Voting Public will not remember a single thing any GOP'er will say come Election Day.

They will only remember who did Rachel finally kiss, which starlet won Survivor IX, and which candidate is very French-looking and was the decorated war hero who served in Vietnam.

I long ago stopped trusting them.

I know. This is hard. About one more month to go...

Remember everything said here is picked up by the opposition. But since they are in love with late-term abortions, there will be a really big one in November!

I don't agree with you. "

LOL, I do hear that often.

But, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Considering how bad it was in the Clinton years and what has happened at the polls in 2000 & 2002, I am encouraged. But, we have a tough fight on our hands and it looks like it is going to go on for a long time.

Surrendering to those who would destroy the country is not an option......

"I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist."

Well I challenged Matthews on Kerry's lying and we'll see if I get an invite on the program.

I may have to watch, I sure hope you get the invite.....

Just remember Chris is "one of them", he worked for Tip O'Neil for years. He and the 2 riverboat criminals (K&K), are blood brothers.

I know, it's not an option.

But I also see this:

while they still have the means to resist.

Add to that, the WILL to resist. And I seriously doubt they do.

My dad is a WW II vet. He was shot and spent a long time in the hospital.
He refused a purple heart. He told the officer trying to give it to him
that he'd been biten by a bear. (At least it wasn't a moose.)

He's 79 now, and still taking his bride of 57+ years out dancing twice a week.

We just don't build tough guys like that anymore.

According to Vo Nguyen Giap and Bui Tin, Kerry and VVAW were key to Communist victory.

Communist defeat was obvious after Tet, but the antiwar demonstrators turned that defeat into victory.

Kerry slandered his "band of brothers" as "war criminals, murderers, rapists".

While he himself self-cited five awards (three Band-Aids, being there, and murdering a wounded combatant) so he could bug out.

After all, he had the Communists' work to do back in the world.

Wow. *S* Your parents sound awesome.

After watching Kerry for a while I got to thinking about something that has really bugged me:

My dad was drafted for 'Nam, was stateside for most of that time as a cook (he asked to be a gunner but a busted eardrum from a prior welding accident prevented that) and did his time just before his unit, 25th Infantry, got sent over and as he puts it, 'got slashed to ribbons'...

My cousin Juan was a medic in 'Nam...and made it home alive and in one piece...

Dad is just now starting to tell me about his days in the Army. Juan hardly talks to ANYONE, let alone me, about what he saw there, and I'm not about to make him tell me.

Yet Kerry manages to fit his service (if one could call it that) in every conversation I've seen. And this ranks right up with Clinton not being able to render a proper salute to save his damned life on my irritation meter.

Instead the Vietnamese-American newspapers are calling Kerry a "phan boi," traitor.

Is THAT what it means?! I thought it was Vietnamese for "gigolo."

>> 1) Can you be a war hero and a criminal at the same time?

Who ever said Kerry was a war hero, other than Kerry? Heroes do not need to talk about their duty, others will do the talking, and even then a real patriot will down play the role he played. Apparently you picked up on Kerry being a criminal. It was Kerry that admitted to it. Not me, not the Republicans. You should read about the Winter Solider investigation - it's all online. Then you need to read about how many that testified in the investigation were discredited - often times never being in country, let alone in battle for their given testimony. That is the lot of Kerry - a pack of traitorous American-hating liberals.

>> 2)What does that make Milosevich? (certainly not a war hero but should he stand trial? war is hell)
Milosevich is a war criminal. He should be hung. War is hell. I am certain that there is no way that you will ever comprehend how one can still be of high moral character and still fight a war. By the way your questions make you sound like a DU troll.

Yes. Then run for President, legalize pot, declare God officially dead, idolize Stalin, Lenin, and Che Guevara as equals to Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson, and have a coming out party on the South Lawn.

J-F***ing Kerry for President!
