He's dead. And of course Judy Woodruff did not contest his words.

Let's not get over confident, please!
Remember, America will elect a lying, treasonous draft dodger over an honorable war veteran - TWICE!!

CNN's Woodruff declined to confront Kerry with his previous comments accusing his brother soldiers of committing war crimes in Vietnam. She is not the only one.
They hide under the news etiquette banner and say that it is not their job to do so.
Then they do it through innuendo and titles of stories.
Something has always stunk in the world of fair and balanced journalism.
Including FOX News.

"...John Kerry is now denying that he ever accused U.S. soldiers of committing war crimes in Vietnam, despite amply documented comments - some televised, others delivered while under oath - where he did exactly that."This says that Kerry knows this topic is going nowhere; he knows that the main-stream press is going to give him a complete pass on this topic.
Also, many FReeper posters are exactly correct in observing that the blue states are in the Kerry bag and the red states will remain GOP...even if it is discovered that Kerry may have had sex with his current wife.

"And all of these acts, I find out later on, are contrary to the Hague and Geneva conventions and to the laws of warfare" Don't know about Squids but in August of 1972 at Ft. Polk, LA, the Geneva and Hague Conventions and the Laws of War were some of the first training I received. It is not credible that, as an officer he would not be well versed in regulations he should be enforcing.
The old "I was only following orders" defense was tried (and failed) at Nuremberg.

I just got back with my two oldest from our first trip to DC. We spent some time at the Wall and had a few conversations with some Vietnam vets. To the man, and even one of their daughters, they all said they would vote for Bush over Kerry.....two even admitted being Democrats and had NEVER vote Republican before. This is an underestimated body of men and their families!

Soooo, Mr. (Scary) Kerry, were you lying then, or are you lying now?

Well, at the very least, he lied under oath. If the horse face wins in November, I'm all up for another impeachment proceeding.

Can someone tell me what "interdiction fire" is and why it's bad? It sounds like something done in a war zone...

I'm waiting to see how he's going to weasel out of his vote for NAFTA in the early 90's. Let Edwards make mincemeat of him over this issue.
As the saying goes, I love the smell of Democrats burning in the morning!

I saw an article by some contemporary veteran of Kerry's that stated that it was against orders to leave the swift boat and go ashore because it left the boat defenseless, they couldn't bombard the shore and they couldn't leave the danger zone (which was what they were supposed to do, back off and bombard the shore because the US guns had twice the range of the Vietnamese guns). Instead of receiving a medal of honor, Kerry should have been court martialed for leaving the boat, endangering the crew and shooting a wounded man in the back (a wounded man who had been cut down by a 50mil. machine gun).
