I'm Glad O'Reilly Is Around For this Important Issue
me

Posted on 02/20/2004 6:02:51 PM PST by skyman

O'Reilly haters may not like this post and I'll be the first to omit that O'Reilly has a huge ego and is full of himself and I can only take so much of him but.....

I'm glad he is around during this time of the gay marriages in San Francisco issue.

Living in California there are almost leaders speaking out strongly against it. The Govenator has been a 98 pound weakling on the issue, the Attorney General must be in on it, Pres Bush is "troubled."

Every day the local S.F. Bay Area the T.V.news shows "happy stories" of more and more happy "couples" flaunting the law getting married.

For everyone living outside California, don't feel to smug, this will spread unless people rise up everywhere to challenge it.

So at least it's nice to hear someone, even if it is O'Reilly hammer on this issue almost every night that this culture war and gay marriage issue could destroy one of the strongest foundations of our country by diluting the institution of marriage and the family.

I know, I know, with 50% divorce rate it's not that stable, but just imagine how stable and well adjusted future children will be being raised in our country if marriage becomes defined as 2 men, 2 women, 3 men 1 women, 3 women and one man, a man and his dog, 2 women and duck, etc.

So while I still can't sit through an entire O'Reilly show thanks to him for keeping this issue on the forefront and continuing to point out all the cowardly politicians in hiding.

I live in the bay area and I actually am thinking about taking my cat with me to get married, and if they refuse claim discrimination. I kinda scared though, that as nutty as some are around here, they'll let me.

I wonder what Dembucraps and queers (I know redundant) would do if Bush just quietly issued an Executive Order banning Gay marraiges. ;-)

I listen to Rush everday, and he has been hammering the same issue. Rush isn't a moderate. And well, O'Reilly, he just can't make up his mind on politics.

"The gay marriage thing is going to be the pukey all consuming issue of the campaign."

And the liberals will be held to account. This could be the straw that breaks the Camel's back and many of the fence sitters will abandon the Democrat party where 99% of the Liberals call home.

If I was advising George W. I would advise him to let this fester a bit longer, let it go till every God fearing Christian in this country has seen this freak show on the 6:00 O'clock NEWS, and then have GWB put his foot down on the Governors of the States who are permitting these perverted acts to take place.

I share your view on O'Reilly's take on this issue, except for trying to bring President Bush into this state issue. It is clearly a matter for the govenator to handle, and he is awol.

I agree and I trust Dubya. He knows this is a gut-level issue with his base and will not let it play through unchallenged.

O'Rielly is a Populist,

What bothers me about O'Rielly is.... He claims to be an intelligent man, yet he thinks Bush should step in and arrest the Mayor of San Francisco. This is clearly a State issue and President Bush would look like an ass if he injected himself into the middle of the issue. GWB has clearly stated where he stands and he has said he will be forced to get involved if the individual states shy away from their duty to protect the sacred institutions this country was founded on.

I'll tell you what, I've been looking at web sites for small towns in S. Utah and N. Ariz. today. You probably can guess what is on my mind. I always told myself I would stick it out here and fight the Left to the bitter end, but I am getting tired. I want to experience what I knew as a child once again. I realize that this $#$& will eventually reach other places, but I think it would be cool, for example, to live in a small city where the primary industry is design and manufacturing of high quality fire arms (ooops, almost gave it away there ... some will already know which one it is!.....). At very least I can live in a place for at least a few more decades where English is spoken widely, and where real marriage is still the norm. These are dark days.

Exactly! If I marry a lamp, how does that hurt you? That's all that matters.

One of the things O'Reilly did tonight was a hypothetical--he said, what if he were bisexual and wanted to marry both male and female partners, what would the homosexual guest say to that?

It was funny, the homosexual guest who favored same-sex marriage couldn't bring himself to admit that sexual triads should be allowed to marry. He didn't even understand O'Reilly's point.

I wonder what would happen if a pair of identical twins wanted to get married in SF? I think they would allow it if they were the same sex but wouldn't if the were male/female twins because of reproduction issues.

I think we should laugh at them instead of sending in an army right now. Arrest the politicians that are breaking the law and let California boot out the judges who refuse to abide by the law ( Rose Bird style ).

No need to worry about the "marriages" because they are as non-binding as when a little girl grabs a little boy and hauls him off to a pretend wedding with a pretend pastor.
