In the Washington Monument picture, look above and slightly to the right of the guy in the wheelchair. The guy without the shirt on, could it be Jan Michael Vincent after starring in Tribes?

John F'ing Kerry will in coming months commit the same destructive act that Howard Dean committed. And that is 'Hara-kiri' except in John's case it might be labelled 'Hairy Kerry.'(pun intended) Quite obviously, John thinks that when he opens his mouth it will always be beneficial to him. He will sink himself just as good old 'Yeeeeeeeeeeeearrrrrrrrrggghhhhhhh' did.
To: LibWhacker
Best thing for Kerry to do is admit that it did happen.

which is a small representation of a very much larger group of veterans in this country, and were it possible for all of them to sit at this table they would be here and have the same kind of testimony.... Am I reading that wrong, or is he smearing every single person who served in Vietnam?

Nope, you're reading it correctly. He smeared practically every one of them, if not every one of them . . . What's that, about 2.9 million vets? . . . er, I mean . . . war criminals.
To: Jackson Brown
Kerry can run but he can't hide. There's plenty of public testimony and photographs to substantiate the fact that he was a disgrace to the U. S. Navy and to our country.

Vietnam Veterans Against the War--- Committee Opens Hearings on End of War Proposals
The 27-year-old former Navy lieutenant, his shaggy black hair curling over the collar of his green fatigues, talked in quiet tones of Vietnam horrors carried out by Gis "in the fashion of Ghenghis Khan."

I'm kind of hoping he continues denying it. I mean, it's all laid out in black and white; that male Jane Fonda clearly accused American troops of committing war crimes on a massive scale and his denial is simply not going to sit well with the electorate.
To: LibWhacker
I think if he admits saying it he will get a lot of milage. That kind of stuff did happen.

John Kerrys America What he said about us. By William F. Buckley Jr.
[This is the text of William F. Buckley Jr.'s June 8, 1971, commencement address to the United States Military Academy at West Point.]
In Southeast Asia, he said, he saw "not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command." A grave charge, but the sensitive listener will instantly assume that Mr. Kerry is using the word "crime" loosely, as in, "He was criminally thoughtless in not writing home more often to his mother." But Mr. Kerry quickly interdicted that line of retreat. He went on to enumerate precisely such crimes as are being committed "on a day-to-day basis, with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command." He gave tales of torture, of rape, of Americans who "randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravages of war."
Mr. Kerry informed Congress that what threatens the United States is "not Reds, and not redcoats," but "the crimes" we are committing. He tells us that we have "created a monster, a monster in the form of millions of men who have been taught to deal and to trade in violence, and who have returned with a sense of anger."

To heck with his denial being at odds with his book. His denial is at odds with his TAPED TESTIMONY before Congress in 1971.
Exactly, and I would add, under oath.

A defiant Kerry told CNN's Woodruff that he did not regret his anti-war activismThus, his 30-year-old views are an issue when they otherwise would not have been.

Were killing Kerry too early. Edwards is a much more formidable opponent.

I think if he admits saying it he will get a lot of milage. I think he's in a Catch 22 situation now, isn't he? If he admits saying it, he'll have to explain why he ever denied saying it. If he continues to deny it, his sworn testimony will expose him as a liar.
To: Jackson Brown
Only in the LEFTIST media would a TRANSCRIPT of Kerry's testimony accusing Vietnam Veterans to be War Criminals be IGNORED and his denial of the same, go unchallenged.

One at a time.
Clark,
then Dean
then Kerry
then Edwards.
(the order isn't critical)
