Bump for the leftist girl scouts.

Left-leaning intellectuals want to eliminate masculinity, too. This makes it very difficult to reproduce, so they'll eliminate themselves pretty quickly :-).
And I wear dresses on camping trips - much more comfortable than pants!

It's true that native-born leftists have low birthrates. That's one reason they like immigration from countries that tend to spawn leftists.
And as far as dresses go, that shows my ignorance on the subject. But come to think of it, the women who were our pioneer ancestors managed to cross the country in wagon trains and build houses and farm while wearing dresses, so I guess the attire is not that limiting.
I should think before I post. But that would break a long-standing tradition. :)

I can understand that you don't have personal experience with dresses, but except in the coldest weather, they really are very practical ... especially for women of the child-bearing type, whose size tends to fluctuate :-). I can wear the same dress from "baseline" through pregnancy and nursing (weather permitting). No pair of pants has that sort of flexibility.

I'm an old woodbadger who has been out of scouting for a few years, but have been involved a little on the council level recently. BSA has a group called Venture Scouts for high school age kids. It is coed. Thought some of you with daughters might like to check it out.

My husband is a wood badger, too, Antelope Patrol :-). We've talked about Venture Scouts when our daughter is older. Depends on what happens with her other activities; horseback riding threatens to devour our lives!
