I'd like to explain why it's not there (yet). First, I just wanted a long, thin Brown Bess rifle at the top of the thread. But my superior comrades in arms demanded that we make it clear that our goal is 100% restoration of the meaning and intent of the second amendment. Second, this is an international thread. Long Cut and I welcome anyone from any country to contribute on this thread. The right to bear arms is sacred to all human beings, not just Americans!

Thanks for the comments. This is one of her a few years ago and the other is her baby. He is only 36 hours old in the pic and has the same expression as his Mother.
That thing on his arm is because his white blood count was slightly high and they thought he might have an infection. The Dr. checked him over the same day and said he was fine and removed it.
He looks like my Son-in-law so it is a good thing he is a boy.
Heh! I can't speak for Trav, but just before that we were talking about this being a test thread... We were joshing around back there at the beginning.
She likes to shoot if I take her but is not really into it like I would have wanted. She will go if I ask her but probably would rather be shopping with her Mother. She really is a good shot tho.
I am a pretty good shot, I won the all-comers match at my gun club in Kansas the only time I entered (technically I didn't win but only because I fouled up my score card I did have the most hits), the only reason I mention that is she once beat me.
She was around 12 years old and we were shooting a target grade air rifle at empty .22 cases at about 25 feet. The rifle was capable of hitting every time if you did your part.
After I barely beat her a couple of times and was giving her a little good natured kidding, I noticed a determined look on her face. The next time we shot She hit ten out of ten and beat me. Of course then I had to take the kidding.

I have a ParaOrdnance P10 in .45 ACP. It's the aluminum frame with MMC tritium night sights. It's a good gun, but it feels too "blocky" in my somewhat smallish hands, like a 2x4. I have some cash (about $500) and I have decided to trade it in (plus the cash) next week at the gun show and try and pick up a new carry piece. I already have a Colt Government model and a Combat Commander both in 45ACP. They're too big and too heavy. I have come to decide that I need a "micro" .45. I have four main choices unless you guys can suggest an alternative. There is:
Colt Defender; Springfield Armory "Micro"; ParaOrdnance C6, called the Para-Carry; and the Kimber Ultra Compact II. I'm afraid I have real problems with the C6 or anything from ParaOrdnance. I have fired a P12 and have recently experienced "failures to feed" with my own P10. The P12 I shot had the same problems. Now, I think my mag springs are bad and I put Wolff +10% springs in my mags, but the P12 had exactly the same problem with brand new mags. This begins, in my mind, to look like a problem of product reliability. This past weekend, I shot my neighbors Springfield Armory V10 (with the built in compensator?) and although it had little felt recoil, the redirected muzzle blast was unbeliveable. I'd really hesitate to shoot from a position of retention or from the hip, those hot gases would like...blow my face off. Well, it could blind me I'm sure. And man, it IS LOUD!
I do like the Kimber and I do like the Colt Defender. The other Springfield Armory I'm sure is a fine gun too. any other suggestions? It HAS to be a 1911 style gun. I just sold a Glock M30 and that was a GREAT gun but it felt "blocky" in my hands too. I don't think I'm looking for a capacity of over seven or eight rounds here. If I want a High Cap, I'll go Gov't or Commander size, not compact. any ideas?
