So Montana is God's country - - what does that make Massachusetts?

Well, officially it is the Bay State. But it is increasingly coming to be known as the (rhymes-with-Bay) State.

(San Francisco's latest antics notwithstanding.)

I, too, was hoping we would be getting our predictions again this year from Hugh (as I remember him). Please add me to your ping list, Neets. Thanks

Please put me on your ping list. One of my favorite memories of election 2000 was when Dales had Hawaii going to Bush (that didn't last long ...)

I would put Colorado as a leaner. Colorado is a sleeper, IMO. It was only 50-51% Bush last time and has a long history of 3rd parties doing well. The question there is how many hard left Greens from Boulder or how many Libertarians split from the major parties.

Nader got over 10% in 10 counties. He got 6% in Denver County as well(and 12% in Boulder, 13% in Pitkin aka Aspen).

I do think it's Bush's race to lose though.

As for North Carolinas, I agree, but what worries me there is NAFTA/GATT and trade repercussions.
