Since Dean and Edwards are dancing together, when are they going to San Francisco to get married?

Maybe. According to FNS Exit Polling in Wisconsin Kerry was the clear winner among democrays. Independents and Republicans heavily favored Edwards. I think Republicans ought to back off and let Kerry get the nomination and then we have 9 months to pound him. Edwards is a lot less vulnerable to attack, IMHO.

I think the longer it takes to decide the nominee the better, because it means both will have to keep spending more and more money while W. can sock it away.

If this merger of Edwards/Dean supporters happens, does it mean that Algore will be part of the package? If so, will it be the kiss of death for Edwards as it was for Dean?

One with a career in saving lives and the other in destroying them. They always say opposites attract.

A DU'er described Edwards as uncooked dough. The Deaniacs are not happy with Edwards because he supported IWR.

Dean raised and spent about $50.3 million in his presidential run, and he won 201 delegates. That means he spent about $250,000 to win each delegate, including superdelegates. Without superdelegates included, he spent some $500,000 per delegate.

Wow!

Talk about strange bedfellows! These two couldn't be further apart on the liberal spectrum. I'm highly suspect.

UMMMM I heard in the NY papers only Edwards is coming to NYC for 5 days. I believe the NYC papers know more than CNN. THIS IS WHAT THE MEDIA WANTS NOT WHAT DEAN WANTS. Dean is headed back to Vermont I believe. I believe CNN is being hopeful again. Dean is going to endorse the winner. The media is playing this stupid game again.

Yes. But who will Al Gore, or Tom Harkin, or Bill Bradley support? King makers all.

I think Edwards would be a more formidable opponent, by far. If he inherits Dean's delegates, that tightens the race, and a good day on super Tuesday could put Edwards right up with Kerry. This ain't over yet.

This election year has been the most interesting one I can remember in my 37 years. These guys are shooting eachother and themselves daily! LOL
I find myself wanting smack Kerry so much that I have to go to the gym to work it off.
Edwards is much more likable & clean, and I would worry more if he were nominated.

When I get worked up over something the media reports I remind myself that they have NOT been right even once since this thing began and I relax about the race. (But I get upset about the media bias) LOL

Well, my point is that we still have a long way to go and as long as we work hard TOGETHER to re-elect Bush then it should be a piece of cake, but if we turn this into the FREAK SHOW the DemoHacks have so far then we are doomed.

Could be bad news for both Kerry and GWB if Dean throws his support to Edwards in a big way.

would presumably transfer his vast network of donors capable of raising large sums within hours.

Why didn't these "capable" donors raise money for Dean so he could stay in the race?

Howie should trade the donor list for the VP slot.

Then crank up the fundraising machine and go after Kerry full-bore.

Interesting, I am starting to see Kerry posters up in NYC now. Saw one this am at the 86th st B-way station entrance.

My this would shake things up.

Oh pleasepleaseplease...the longer it takes for the Dems to settle on a nominee, the more money they will have to spend and the more they will go negative on each other, both developments very much to W's advantage.

If Dean had anything substantial to transfer he would still be in this thing. This is meaningless.....Deaniacs are NOT automatically attracted to the empty Edwards, a caricature of a southern phony with no content...Dean was content...Dean was the Man to that donor list and Edwards is the opposite.

Since 1964, whenever the Dems nominate a southern... LBJ, Carter, Clinton they win...when they nominate northern liberals they lose. I think a quick victory for Kerry is a good thing to quote Martha Stewart. This Edwards/Dean combination doesn't sound too appealing.
