The President met with Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in the Oval Office of the White House to discuss regional security and diplomatic issues. (Geography refresher: Tunisia is in North Africa, borders eastern Algeria and is SW of Italy, across the Mediterranean; the CIA wrote recently, "Tunisia has taken a moderate, non-aligned stance in its foreign relations.")
Laura Bush visited students and educators at Limerick Elementary School in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles, promoting literacy. Mrs. Bush encouraged students to read more than they watch television.
And on a "know your opponents" note: the democrats continue to run in Circles of Confusion, today's version of Dante's Divine Comedy: The Inferno.
Enjoy your Dose of W, and welcome to Sanity Island!
Ask the White House: "NASCAR's Michael Waltrip answered your questions about NASCAR and the Daytona 500"

I think the $4.3 million one is his "cheap" housing in DC. He borrowed the $6 million against "his half" of a house in Boston, I believe.

***For supposely lying about WMD in Iraq.... Good luck to Moveon.org. How the hell do they think they are going to get a Republican congress to do it??***
Their (moveon.org) hate, their ignorance, their stupidity, their refusal to see ANY truth . . . it's just beyond me.
Did you happen to see Scott Ritter on Dennis Miller the other night? He (Scott) said he'd seen kids--10 yo kids--in prisons in Iraq, in prison just because of their parents' views. Geraldo asked him if the war was worth it to free those kids--and he basically said, "NO"!!! Just blew my mind. He said something about human rights violations all over the world, . . . .like that makes it wrong for us to try to help in one country . . .
It just blows me away.

Seriously........he's a gentleman like his Dad.
Gentlemen were RARE when I met him in the 70's and I was impressed from the beginning.
And just think how unusual it is now in your generation.
Want more details??
He was valedictorian of his class, 1st singles tennis player, and a good musician too.....
(And I'm not making any of this up! :o)

** If Kerry's house is worth 4.3 million, how did he borrow 6 million against it??? ** He borrowed that money against the house that he and his wife own up in Massachusetts
Keep in mind that Kerry and Edwards both own SEVERAL multi-million dollar homes

EEEEKKKK! That wasn't very nice, Prairie! (disaproving voice) Now I'm going to have to go back to yesterday's Dose and look at George and Laura to get that nasty picture out of my mind.

Actually, the picture speaks more than a thousand words. And it's a reminder of the love between the President and Laura.
There, does that help? :^)

***Good for Laura!!! I imagine it must hurt to have to listen to so many lies told about the man she loves.***
Just look at them together (yesterday's thread has some wonderful pics of them together at their ranch) and you can see that it hurts either of them to hear criticism about the other. She's said that's the toughest part about campaigning.

*****He's a really strong Christian, VERY high moral standards (no swearing, no alcohol), smart, friendly, polite (he opens doors for girls).**
Wow...I think I'm in love...***
Yeah, me too . . . but I don't think he'd be interested in a married lady with two kids . . . LOL!!!
Seriously, Ohio, I do pray that my kids find Christian spouses, and your son sounds like he is a wonderful young man. My goal is to raise my kids the way you have raised yours.
