There was a thread last night started by redlipstick (vanity) to boycott MSNBC. She would donate .25 (up to total of $50) for each freeper who would pledge not to watch MSNBC. Many of us signed up. MSNBC doesn't even try to be objective and that includes Scarborough. I hope they go under soon.

This is a good thing. Recall for me, if you will exactly where Kaplan took CNN, and Why he is no longer there....lol

Howlin, next morning thanks for the ping. Kaplan is scum - I remember that Food Lion smear back in the early '90's. "If it doesn't fit your agenda, just make it up". The resulting legal action and fine didn't seem to slow Kaplan down any :-(

I used to watch Lester Holt, during the 911 crisis mainly, and he was great... Scarborough came on like gangbusters, but he's jumped the shark, though I can't stand Greta and her constant rambling about Scott Peterson, etc... So, from 10-11, I just surf the net or do more productive things...

Shameless self-promotion of my Boycott MSNBC thread. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1114089/postsLOL!

This morning, Imus began his transformation (maybe sooner) He came out loudly in support of HIS candidate John Kerry. Then he had a L O N G interview with Kerry... all fluff fluff fluff.... Obviously he doesn't want to lose his job.
The most bile inducing has been Chris Matthews. He's turned far left in every way, and he voted for Bush in 2000. What a bunch of "I will do anything to keep my job" folk. They are spineless yes men.

"Slimus will do what he has to do to remain employed. For someone without any obvious talent, and who talks like he has a golf ball in his mouth, there aren't many options. He will assume the position and smile."
Agreed he has allot of overhead including his wife, Donny Imus Junior and his semi celebrity wife. To me he is a joke and a small homely man.

I wonder whether Rush Limbaugh can turn his use of Oxycontin into the same badge of street cred that Imus uses his former COCAINE abuse.

Only in journalism can somebody fail over and over and over again and still be hired in a top position.

Yes, Miller is on CNBC and I happen to like his show. At least it's a little different and you don't see the same people over and over and over again. I think with a little time he could really make it a very interesting show.

We elect public servants.. not public rulers. Our servants are like all servants. They only exist as long as they serve the will of their masters. Here the masters are the voters. Sure thing pal. Tell ya what: walk up to your nearest JBT representative of the executive branch and remind him in a loud clear voice that he works for you, and that he is not above the law. If he doesn't shoot you immediately, do come back and post some more of your fascinating theories.

We elect public servants.. . How many people do we elect to the Federal Executive Branch?
What part of the word Elect don't you understand?
Last time I looked we Elected was JUST ONE.... the President. The people you refer to are, hired for life, government bureaucrats. The president is the only member of the Executive who is elected.
I did not say dictators are not appointed to positions of power.
I SAID WE DO NOT ELECT DICTATORS.
Can you say Supreme Court? You obviously don't understand the difference between elected public officials and appointed or hired bureaucrats.
Children who have completed the first grade are expected to understand the meaning of simple words like ELECT!! When you start the second grade, be sure to tell your teacher you are having problems understanding the meaning of simple words.
To: Common Tator
Better still: try the aforementioned with your
elected federal executive official and see how far you get. Or, will you be explaining your outburst of civic consciousness to the business end of a sidearm employed by a member of said executive branch who reports up the chain (eventually) to the guy you
elected?
Those unelected bureaucrats can be replaced at a whim, you know. Just ask Bill Clinton.
Now, feel free to launch more ad hominem attacks on my comprehensive skills.
