All the people who are applauding this hoax are DEAD WRONG.

It did nothing but help the other side. It helped them in several ways.

It gave them something to talk about instead of the real photo of Kerry with Fonda--and the very illuminating story of what they were doing together.

It made that photo itself suspect for the rest of the lazy people in the world.

It helped further discredit this site and the internet in general as a source for any kind of news or original reporting.

I can't help but think it was just a juvenile attempt for Registered to insert himself into something that was catching on. To get himself some press and some business.

It wasn't an innocent mistake. And it screwed things up--big time!

I agree. I was on the thread where it was initially posted. Thanks to a sharp FReeper, it was debunked immediately. If you're going to doctor a photo, label it as such. I'm not talking about funny, captioned pictures that are obvious, but ones that are actually very real looking. And this one was.

Although we look at an article from a Berkley paper and laugh at their stupidity, this could be passed around the internet to more unsuspecting people. I fail to see anything funny about this situation.

To the Left, which includes the liberal media, "this site" is already "discredited". It has never been credible as far as they're concerned. Your faux concern is not convincing.

We're at war with the Left. Registered isn't causing us to "lose" the war by creating a fake pic, whether he did it on purpose or by accident. They got taken, conned, rooked. It's certainly not his fault that a bunch of retards can't source it for themselves, and are embarrassed to admit that they rely on unknown Internet sources to provide their content.

The other side don't want to focus on the Kerry-Fonda pic, so like you--one excuse is as good as another when it comes to redirecting the conversation. The Internet is no more reliable or unreliable than it was before this fake photo turned up. It's only an issue because it's another axe to grind against us on the Right.

Everyone knows you can't trust what you read or see on the Internet without verifying it.

Hope this helps!

Agree 100% and said so on this thread.
