Posted on 02/17/2004 7:31:25 PM PST by rintense

President Bush headed to Fort Polk, Louisiana today to spend some time with our some of America's finest soldiers. The President spoke of the continued war on terror, and how America will not back down when faced with terrorism. Bush also spent the morning in Tampa, Florida where he participated in a meeting with small business owners. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura was at Bentonville High School, in Bentonville, Arkansas today to promote teaching. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

(Heaving a HUGE sigh)
How can ANYBODY, with half a brain, even THINK about a
cartoon like that?
How devastating to the families who lost their precious ones on 9/11..
How devastating to ME, that someone could hate The President so much as well...
It is a sad, sick world we live in...

Evening MS.B.

It's kinda late, or maybe people are hanging over at the Dem primary thread.

How are you tonight? Do you always come on pretty late in the evenings?

Hi MS.BEHAVIN,

I don't hear "crickets" yet, but I will chime in on my observations of what we will face in re-electing George W. Bush.

The Democrats will continue their relentless and baseless attacks on President Bush, That's all they have :-) George W. Bush OWNS the issues, and they know it. We will see George W. Bush ignore them for the most part until mid summer. At that point we will see the Bush/Cheney Campaign open up on John Kerry and the message will not be a personal attack on John Kerry, (Like Kerry hopes) it will be a laundry list of choices that all Americans will face next November, and it's an easy case to make for the Bush/Cheney Team.

John Kerry has a voting record that goes back 19 years and it paints a picture of a man who has never led the fight for anything. The only leadership John Kerry has ever exhibited was when he was protesting against his own country and trashing those he left behind fighting in the jungles of Vietnam. That is not the type of leadership this country needs.

My take on Kerry is that he is a Coward, and a coward you never turn your back on.

I like to stay up late too, if I don't have to get up early the next day.

You are so right that tonight is quiet. Given all these great pics of the President with the troops, daily dosers are missing out today.

Don't know if you read some of the press articles on the visit, but they all had a tinge of envy and regret that our troops still love their President, even after their two weeks of AWOL bash fest.

It is their absolute hatred for "W" and us that astounds me..it's beyond reason.
They are so desperate to unseat "W" that they will virtually elect ANYONE else, regardless, of record, principal, or political tactics.
We'd best not turn our backs on Kerry, he is more than a coward..he has the unmitigated gall to run despite his history, and people are buying it.

I think envy and regret are what drives them..
They hate the fact that The Military loves him, and they hate the NASCAR visit...
(Wasn't that a refreshing change from the "halftime " Harlot?)

Come to think of it, they just about hate everything..
Miscreants and malcontents, focusing on political correctness, abortion, and welfare,
"Gimme, get me, buy me" that's all I ever hear from them..
end of rant

Hi Mike,
So you still think Kerry is going to get the nomination? I don't like the idea of Edwards running strong today, with the help of some WI republicans, I hear.

I'm afraid that this will create an impression in the dem ranks and the media that Kerry is not a great candidate afterall, and they'll start dumping on him and revealing dirt. By March 2 he may not survive the hits and Edwards pulls out a win.

I didn't hear it myself, but some posted here that dems like Susan Estrich were quite sure of some serious "rumors" coming out against Kerry, and dem voters will abandon him, just like they abandoned Dean.

You have to remember that the Democrats hold absolutely no power in all three branches of the Federal Government, they are the minority in Governorships, They are the minority in state held congressional seats, and heir last stand is the Federal Judiciary.

The frustration level for them is understandable when considering how far they have fallen in the past 20 years.

They used to own the media, they held the House for 40 years before 1994, they held the Senate for the most part as well over that past three decades. Now they find themselves out of power and no way to shape the legislature, so they want to use the Judiciary to do what Congress could not with them out of power.

The bottom line for the Democrats is the Judiciary. They want to block anyone Bush Nominates, and they want to call on their Liberal Judges to legislate from the Bench.

It doesn't matter who wins the Nomination!

I would like to see Kerry win the Nomination, simply because I think he is the easiest to beat. If Kerry and Edwards team up, It will just mean that both of them will be forever known as the victims of the biggest landslide in the History of our Republic

Yes, I know...
All this just gets me down, sometimes..
Mr.B was amazed, when a Dem. State Rep. came to him..
and apologised on behalf of her party..she was ashamed!
Perhaps, all is not lost...

How do you think eveything will pan out, Mike?

Ha Ha.... Part of me really enjoy seeing F'n Kerry sweat a little to get the nomination, after all of his duplicitous remarks about the "AWOL" issue. I am beyond angry with him over that, and almost want to see him lose to not give him the satisfaction and dignity to even run against President Bush.

But realisticly I don't want him battered so bad that he loses the primary, because his record is indefensible to middle America. I guess a weakened F'n Kerry in the general election is the best outcome.
