President Bush headed to Fort Polk, Louisiana today to spend some time with our some of America's finest soldiers. The President spoke of the continued war on terror, and how America will not back down when faced with terrorism. Bush also spent the morning in Tampa, Florida where he participated in a meeting with small business owners. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura was at Bentonville High School, in Bentonville, Arkansas today to promote teaching. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Hi Ms.B--

I got all my errands done--including an appt. with an oral surgeon about my wisdom tooth. :-(

It's a sunny, 40+ degree day here today--spring is in the air! It's just beautiful out!

What wonderful pictures of our First Couple!

Hope your doggy got his/her shots. I paid a little of our vet bill and made an appt. for the new kitty to get 'fixed' so the bill will be right up there again.

Hi Mystery-

Hope you got out to window shop for windows. LOL!

Home improvements--painting is fun! Fairly cheap and easily changeable, too. Do you watch Trading Spaces? I get some fun ideas from them. I'd tone most of their ideas down a bit, but it's a fun show. I painted my kitchen and dining room kind of based on one of their shows. Sage green and light yellow. Used a Woolie and lots of paint colors and stamped on a few green ferns, too. Everyone loves it. It was fun.

You're gonna let Mike relax a LITTLE when he gets home, before he starts all these improvemetns, aren't you? :-)

***"a woman who doesn't just gaze lovingly into her husband's eyes, but remains dedicated to her career." ***

Comments like that really piss me off. I have CHOSEN to make my career my kids, and helping my husband to be successful. Laura has chosen to make her career her husband and family also, as have, I think, the wives on the Dose, whether they work outside their homes or not.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my husband functions better in his business becasue I have clean clothes, a reasonably clean house, relatively healthy meals, etc. for him. He does not realize all I do, and that's OK--I know what I'm doing and have the satisfaction of taking care of him.

I am NOT criticizing women who pursue an out-of-home career--I've been thinking more and more about pursuing my nursing career part-time, too. BUT a career as a wife and mother is a career, too. We can gaze lovingly into our husband's eyes AND within reasonable limits, have a career too.

(Rant over but still pissed at Dean)

If money could talk, it would say "goodbye!"
