President Bush headed to Fort Polk, Louisiana today to spend some time with our some of America's finest soldiers. The President spoke of the continued war on terror, and how America will not back down when faced with terrorism. Bush also spent the morning in Tampa, Florida where he participated in a meeting with small business owners. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura was at Bentonville High School, in Bentonville, Arkansas today to promote teaching. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The Democrats claimed that over a million people would turn out to vote in Wisconsin..... Less than 700,000 did.
They claimed the Virginia turn out would be huge.... Only 9% showed up.
The Democrats claim they are seeing record turnouts, but they're not. Far more Republicans turned out for the 2000 Primaries.
Bottom line is....... The DEMS have NOTHING to offer

I think you're right!
Guess it's because my brother served in Viet Nam...
that makes me hate Kerry so much..
You DON'T want his opinion on Kerry and Fonda..trust me!

Know what?
I'm feeling better...
In my crazy life, looking after my Dad and all,
I've no time to look up these statistics..
'Tis true, they have nothing to offer..and no answers to tough questions, either!
Thanks, Mike!

You sure have a sunny disposition, Mike. I like it.
I know you are right about the turnout, but the media just covers it up for them. It almost seems like the media creates a bubble around the dems and those easily persuaded voters, and make them live in a make-believe world. Sooner or later that bubble is gonna burst and they are in for a real awakening.
But sometimes it's so convincing, that even I have doubts about our country with all of the problems facing us. It's depressing listening to them, I really should quit listening.

I think a lot of democrats have already begun to start thinking about Kerry .. today in Wisconsin, Kerry only won by a couple of points against Edwards. And .. Edwards said that the independent turnout was much much larger than they anticipated. To me that means the independents are the former dems who switched over to independent after the disgust at the Clintons. I can't help but wonder if these independents were rushing to the polls to stop Kerry's momentum; not wanting another Clinton in office.
Susan Estrich said tonight that she thought some democrats were a little scared off by the "intern" story.

Mark my words, when the Bush/Cheney team fires up their campaign, you will see all these lies of the past several months confronted and exposed for what they are before the end of this coming summer. We will see the David Kay report explained and the war in Iraq justified as we are dismantling the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Libya and beyond.
John Kerry has only one thing to offer.... His many faces on the issues, and during these troubled times, there is no room for fence sitting flip flopper's

I'm not doin' too bad. Enjoying retirement - even if it was unplanned and early.
How are you doing .. didn't you have an injury or surgery recently ..?? I seem to remember you and somebody else hobbling around or something ..?? Can't keep all that information straight!
I'm keeping my sense of optimism and humor by listening to Rush every morning and watching reruns of Golden Girls in the evening. It's one of the joys of being retired.
I sent off 16 letters today to all the repub members of the Judiciary and Intel committees. I got the idea when I started reading "War Stories" by Oliver North. In the beginning of the book, he uses several pages to describe a composite of the young men who took Baghdad. It was so stunning, it had me in tears.
I think it was the same day, I saw one of the repubs on the TV spouting "my esteemed colleague" about one of those awful hate-spewing dems. I nearly blew a gasket. I sat down at the computer and started writing. Four pages later, I had said my piece. I tried to be respectful, but I also wanted them to know how angry we are at how they treat these hateful dems .. while our soldiers are the ones who truly deserve that kind of respect. I read the letter to my mom, just to make sure it wasn't too outlandish. She liked it.
I have just one letter left to do - Dr. Frist! I've thought about posting the letter, but I'm not sure I want to. I really don't care to give the Bush-bashers another opportunity to chime in with critizing the repubs.
Sorry to chew your arm off.

Good morning Ms.B--
How are you this wonderful AM? It's actually above freezing here for the first time in I don't know how long. And I'll be out and about doing errands. It will be nice to get some fresh air.
No 'distractions' last night :-(
Have a great day!

Did anyone else catch the WI film clips they've been showing on Fox News this morning? The one where Kerry is at the podium for his victory speech, hugs his wife, and kisses her on the cheek -- and she grimaces! (She sort of recovers then, like she realizes what she just did. Kisses him on the cheek and does one of those "wiping lipstick off of his cheek" gestures meant to be "endearing.")
I love how Rush plays "Just a Gigalo" as Kerry's theme song. LOL

I didn't see that. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....do they have a 'loving' marriage just like the xlintons?
That, 'get away from me and don't ever touch me again' kind of relationship?
Slight contrast with the Bush's marriage, maybe??

Thanks for posting the Dose, Rinny. These ARE great pictures. Saw the speech yesterday at Ft Polk. Our W was great - passionate about his reasons for going into Iraq, completely and totally in support of our beloved troops.
This is his best venue - in front of an audience, like our troops, NOT in front of a hostile, disrespectful, rabid bulldog like the Dem boot licker Tim Russert.
Ohio, That is a Fabulous picture of our W and Laura.
May God continue to protect and bless our President and Laura.

I love that picture! I wish there weren't so many shadows over their faces.
