John Edwards Goes Back in Time, Serves in Vietnam to Boost Election Chances Recognizing John Kerry's Vietnam service is an advantage in the upcoming election, John Edwards, a Democratic presidential candidate, has reportedly gone back in time and served in Vietnam. John Edwards said that he did it so that he could add military service to his resume and compete with John Kerry.
"The other day I stepped into a cross-dimensional time portal and, to make a long story short, ended up as an army private stationed in Hanoi in the 60's." Edwards said to a group of stunned reporters. "I served for a couple of years, received a purple heart and a presidential medal of valor for saving my unit commander, Captain Jack Mills, or as my unit affectionately called him, 'Ol Jack" said Edwards.
Edwards's sudden military service is expected to help him appeal to voters, and political strategists expect it to narrow the gap between Edwards and Sen. John Kerry in the race for the democratic Presidential nomination.

which site is updating the fastest on the net, with the numbers?

Edwards will have to write a new speech if the media stops covering him.
Apparently, he's been giving exactly the same speech (the two Americas one) throughout the campaign.

The net slowed down on numbers after about 6% precincts so now I'm taking them right off the TV screen and typing them out.

Fast Eddie's main concern should be his grocery bill. Oh I have no doubt he'll throw another tax increase at us to pay for that

Kerry getting ugly-er.?
Not possible.

Kerry should not be in charge of a popcorn stand, let alone the Presidency. This man is another Clinton, maybe worse. I hope these two bloody each other unmercifully.

**By the way, listening to Rush today playing soundbites from Russert's interview of Charlie Rangel, I realized something: He and Estrich sound just alike. Has anyone ever seen them together? **
You're on a roll tonight, altura. :o)
I always though Estrich sounded like Carol Channing. But now that you mention it, Rangel places a close second. Kinda gives ya shivers, ya know? The bad kind.

Mr. Electability isn't looking quite so electable now.
I'm basking in schadenfreunde!

Edwards wasted a lot of time on that time trip. It only takes 4 months and a couple of scratches to get hero status.

Kerry's falling off his high horse --- nice to watch.Isn't it though? I just love watching this arrogant silk stocking SOB get smacked down, even if I wish it were Bush doing the smacking.
