Translation from Hebrew to English by me
"Israel must stop causing suffering to the ordinary Palestinian citizen" - this is how the US President, George Bush, said in a first interview to the new Arab-American Television Station, "Al Hura."
To the US President's Words, in the days of Abu Mazen there was progress in the roadmap, but he was taken away from what we expected. "There were those who lowered the weight of the peace process and gave Abu Mazen a hard time in accomplishing the dream," he said. "Abu Mazen was not one of Arafat's men."
Bush explained what needed to happen so that the situation in the Middle East would stabilize: "There is a need in Palestinian responsibility and to the direction of creating institutions for a free society, there is need from the Israeli side to lift the suffering from the ordinary Palestinian citizen, and there is need that neighboring countries struggle to take part in funding Palestinian (humanitarian) groups."
"I am serious in fighting terror, and I refuse to give any levy in anything related to terror organizations," Bush also added. "In the future they will thank me, because I understand that liberty and growth go hand in hand. A free society is a growing soceity, that gives people the opprotunity to make their wishes come true."

Many angry Israeli responses on newspaper website, such as "You should stop Iraqi people 'suffering,'" or that "They are murdering us!" and one says "Israelis owe nothing to their murderers"
I am not going to bother listing all the links showing how Abu Mazen was Arafat's puppet, that Abu Mazen was a terrorist, and that Abu Mazen never intended on following the roadmap. There was also the many terror attacks that happened during the time of Abu Mazen, and the fact incitement to destroy Israel was everywhere on the PLO terrorist media.

"Israel must stop causing suffering to the ordinary Palestinian citizen" - this is how the US President, George Bush, said in a first interview to the new Arab-American Television Station, "Al Hura." Just what is an "ordinary Palestinian citizen", anyway? The ones who haven't blown themselves and innocent Israelis up yet?
He really said that?

Bush is doing his best to destroy America's relationship with the only true Mid-East ally we have. I hope Mr Bush will get his intelligence right before launching an attack on Israel, because every Arab in the world would love to see the US distanced from Israel so they can attempt to destroy her.

Attempts, such as Bush just made, to be even-handed fall on deaf Palestinian ears and only lend credibility to their claim that they have no avenue for redress save terrorism.

I read your link. It certainly gives one a new perspective on this whole situation. The only way I see to end this, is for Israel to blast her enemies back to the stone age.

Bush also added. "In the future they will thank me, because I understand that liberty and growth go hand in hand. A free society is a growing soceity, that gives people the opprotunity to make their wishes come true." huh? this doesn't even sound like Pres. Bush....I've never heard him sound so much like a self-absorbed idiot.
OTOH, If he really said all this tripe, my first thought was, "kiss my a$$".

Ignore the headline. Read what someone translated President Bush as having said [I assume English -> Arabic -> English] .
"There is a need in Palestinian responsibility and to the direction of creating institutions for a free society, there is need from the Israeli side to lift the suffering from the ordinary Palestinian citizen, and there is need that neighboring countries struggle to take part in funding Palestinian (humanitarian) groups."
"I am serious in fighting terror, and I refuse to give any levy in anything related to terror organizations. In the future they will thank me, because I understand that liberty and growth go hand in hand. A free society is a growing soceity, that gives people the opportunity to make their wishes come true."

Sadly, I can only agree with your summation. What the hell is going on? No matter what we say or do, we will never be liked by the palis, arabs, etc. 1.) We better stop pandering to the wrong sides. 2.) We better stop giving American taxpayer money to the palestinian authority terror group. 3.) We better shut up when it comes to deterring Israel from doing everything it needs to do to stop the terror thugs from killing Israelis -- even building a wall. For crying out loud, what is our position on the Saudi Arabian wall? I haven't heard a peep from our government, but I know the Yeminis are pissed. Tough luck just as I say to the palis who are pissed about the Israeli wall.
To: yonif
I would have said: "Israel, put the Palestinians out of their Misery"
