Hell yeah. It was a big bar hopping destination in my early twenties.
Even managed to get a few mugs past the closing time frisk. (If it's winter, a thick coat can hide them in the upper arm part of the sleeve!)
It was always too packed on the weekend nights, but it's a great place to tie one on if you have an afternoon to kill in the city.

Whenever I show out-of-towners around the city, I like to start around noon on a Saturday so we can finish up at McSorley's.

Hit the place once, spent a lot more time at Pete's Tavern in Gramercy...a sentimental favorite. My Grandfather bent his elbow there during prohibition when it was a speak that you entered through the refrigerated room of the flower shop next door. My son hits it once in a while...the fourth generation to belly up to the same bar.
