And as it turned out, it wasn't safer. So what's your point? I think this is a lousy issue for us. Trying to spin Kerry's service into credible claims of "coward" or "war criminal" (take your choice) isn't going to keep him out of the White House. Pointing out his presently bad policies and politics will.

has any newsperson bothered to ask Kerry's former classmates in Long Beach if they remember him showing up for his training every day?
His ship returned to its Long Beach, Calif., port on June 6, 1968. Five months later, Kerry went back to Vietnam, securing an assignment as "swift boat" skipper
