A demographic time bomb is what it is. And it continues despite all the clear warnings that have been visible for years.

How does it make China dangerous? I think they it makes them safer--- those old guys aren't going to fight. Ironically countries like Mexico with it's high birth rate isn't doing well economically and when you see the growing number of street children in it's large cities, that seems dangerous.

The evil, predictable results of abortion. Ironic, isn't it, that female babies are slaughtered by the tens of millions in India and China at the hands of what we in the US would call FemiNazis?

Need a job? Maybe they want us all to move to China because that's where the work will be.

First, I seriously wonder just how much "support" retirees in China get, whether it is supposedly a ratio of one retiree to ten active workers or one to six or whatever. And just how old and decrepit do you have to be to qualify for retirement in China? I suspect that China works people to death and there are comparatively few surviving to retire, at which time they get medical care on par with medical missionaries in the deepest jungles.
Second, although the deliberate practice of calculated abortion or neglect to favor boys as the only child, it should be remembered that it was always the Chinese practice to neglect girls, and even to abandon girl babies in the wilderness.
If China - a country we still fear - has formulated its own economic and biologic collapse, maybe we should just sit back and let things take their course.
