February 17, 2004 -- THE misunderestimators are back, dripping with their old familiar condescension and contempt for President Bush.
Liberals who were forced by bitter circumstance over the past two-plus years to face the truth about the very formidable George W. Bush are now retreating into their old comfortable ways.

"Bush BREATHED!!!

Pundits keep asking "when is the flap over the National Guard service going to be over?"
I say they are waiting for one statement only:
"I am sorry that I stole the election in Florida, and moved into the White House. I am moving out tomorrow."
Anything short of this statement is labeled "not a complete answer."

Once again, they can claim openly that they're just so much smarter than the president, you see. And wiser. Not to mention more sophisticated. I have a brother that is like this ... and as smart as he claims to be .. he can't figure out why no one likes to be around him

He are missing none that a good editor couldn't provide. Indeed! I thought for a minute that I had somehow written that misbegotten sentence. Whew.

If they're "sophisticated"...then I glad I'm not.
Translation: Sophistication
narrow-minded, morally stunted, cowardly.

My sister's adopted son and his wife are among the ranks of drug users who have children and expect others to pick up the financial as well as the emotional tab, so I know what you mean about distinquishing parasites from the truly needy.
My sister's experiences have been so bad that after I had four miscarriages I absolutely refused to consider adopting.

I miss Reagan Have you read his autobiography, An American Life? You may be seeing him through the mist of time.
As one who lived through the assassinations in the 60's and Reagan's governorship as well as his presidency, I have seen the myths that keep on giving to the neo-supporters of both sides of the political spectrum.
I liked Reagan, but I like GWB, too. Both will go down in history as great men.
