NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) -- A woman who has been the subject of rumors linking her to Sen. John Kerry denied yesterday that she ever had an affair with the Democratic presidential candidate.

Breaking her silence four days after the accusations surfaced on the Internet, Alexandra Polier issued a statement to the Associated Press saying, "I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false."

I've highlighted the critical question

""We love and support her 100 percent, and these unfounded rumors are hurtful to our entire family," the statement said. "We appreciate the way Senator Kerry has handled the situation and intend on voting for him for president of the United States."

My question is........ And just how did Senator Kerry handle this situation????,

You must have appreciated it quite a bit, considering you called him a "Sleaze Ball" just 3 days ago

Drudge laid an egg with this one. Probably a setup. The girl denies it as does Kerry. The Kerry team never really seem concerned about it anyhow. She wasn't sent off to Kenya as Drudge claimed, but left with her fiancee. Kerry comes off looking good here as a poor vicitm of media rumors/attacks. He thus is insulated from future bimbo eruptions. Well played by the Dems and a blow to Drudge's credibility.

Polier's parents appreciated the way Senator Kerry handled their daughter so much, her dad called Kerry "a sleazeball," according to the U.K. Sun, and his daughter tapes a kiss-and-tell-all interview with a major U.S. TV network, according to the U.K. Evening Standard.

Gut tells me we haven't heard the last of this scandal.

The girl denies it as does Kerry.

As did both Bill and Monica.

And, as the last WH occupant proved, affairs just don't swing voters anymore. Today's voter is so de-sensitized to it, it's a non-story even when true. Although I usually avoid listening to Mike Gallagher the night after Drudge broke this, he may have been a prophet when he said that the story was a goose egg, and that it was meant to take Kerry's vietnam protesting off the front page. He's usually not that insightful. And I agree with you, they will continue to float goose eggs just to see how many Drudge pounces on, and to undermine his credibility.
