We Have Three Denials: Investigation Needed!

During Monday's program, I posed some questions about Alex Polier, the woman now denying any affair with John F. Kerry: When did she leave the United States? Who made her reservations? Who paid for her ticket? How long will she be gone? How is she earning a living? How long has she been engaged? Why did she tape an interview with an American network before she left? Who set that up? What about her medical records and dental records? Could we maybe see those? Why did the father say Kerry's a "sleazeball," on Friday, and now is going to vote for him on Monday? When was the last time she talked to Kerry, or someone from his campaign, and about what?

If this were Bush, those would be the questions that were being asked. The denials would not be satisfactory. After I asked those questions, I received a good-natured e-mail question from a very good liberal friend of mine in New York: "You are especially hot today El Rushbo but as a raving lib, may I ask why the answers to those questions for Alex Polier are any of anyone's business?" My reply to her was that it's anyone's business because people have alleged illicit behavior on the part of the Democratic nominee. We need those answers. It's the seriousness of the charge.

Furthermore, ladies and gentlemen, we now have three denials. We have Senator Kerry denying this, we have the woman denying this and we have the women's parents denying this. In light of this, we need an investigation. You might remember in 1988, during the George Bush-Michael Dukakis campaign, a renowned author by the name of Gary Sick wrote a book alleging that George W. Bush 41 went to Paris in 1980 to meet with the Iranians to see to it the Iranians kept our hostages in captivity until after the 1980 election. There was no evidence. In fact, somebody even said that Bush flew over there in an SR-71. An argument ensued then over whether two people can fit in an SR-71. Some people said yes in one version, other people said no in another version, only one pilot and that was it.

In 1998, when Gary Sick's book came out, Tom Foley, the speaker of the House, said this was a serious charge and we needed to investigate. Bush denied it, everybody involved denied it, the Iranians denied it. Tom Foley strode to the microphones looking very solemn, and very serious, and very hurt that somebody would accuse any American of this and he needed to get to the bottom of it.

He said that "the seriousness of this charge" was such that despite the fact that there's no evidence for this, we need to get to the bottom of it and investigate it in the Congress. Well, if denials all around constitute suspicion, and if the seriousness of the charge is such that it's serious, then this is pretty serious. Just last Friday the father says Kerry's a sleazeball and on Monday, the father is going to vote for Kerry.

This is curious, ladies and gentlemen. These denials are suspicious, and I think an investigation is warranted. This is how the Democrats would handle this, my friends. It's all about the seriousness of the charge.

"It isn't the nature of the evidence that matters, it is the seriousness of the charge!"

"I'm sure he'll have tons of fun chewing your butt for being such a mindless liberal moron........."

Check some of my other posts... I said that completely tongue in check. Everyone else who read it seemed to get that it was sarcasm..... Oh and you spelled "liberal" wrong so I corrected it in this reply.

I now see Rush reports her parents really are Democrats, not Republicans. Oh well, the BBC hasn't been a reliable source for some time. In fact Rush also noted that the BBC pruned some of this out of there original story leaving the redacted version on the web with the original's time stamp and no warning it had been redacted.
