KERRY MYSTERY WOMAN DATED CAMPAIGN FINANCE CHIEF

**Exclusive**

A woman at the center of John Kerry intrigue dated longtime Kerry Finance Director Peter Maroney, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

When pressed by media outlets in recent week, the Kerry campaign confirmed the relationship, according to top sources.

Alex Polier on Monday denied "Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry."

Rumors swirling around Polier ignited a behind-the-scenes campaign drama.

As first reported in this space, a serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

TIME magazine's Tim Burger and ABC NEWS have developed intriguing elements to the case, sources reveal.

She would joke that she was dating the next president of the United States, says a source.

Polier's flippant remarks and flirtatious manner, according to friends, fueled the intrigue.

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments. "This guy is going to blow up. Have you seen the NATIONAL ENQUIRER story" [on Kerry's womanizing].

The Kerry commotion is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, campaign sources said.

Wesley Clark seems to be responsible for a great deal of this Kerry mess. I would never have guessed he had been a 4 star general in the Army. He appears to be more of a neat looking Walmart Greeter with little rumors to pass on as customers walk through the door. I am not impressed with "The Little King" and his rumor spreading to 12 reporters. He seems to have a real problem between his ears? He wants to be a player on the national scene so much that he has become a silly clown. He has no common sense or pride to be out there looking like a fool.

We'll eventually know the truth because her friends will talk. The timing of the denials and the original statement of Kerry are the key. You don't have to coordinate the truth. It would have been out Friday with everyone involved on the same page. Instead it got to fester over the weekend.

They also had time to manufacture a story and get everyone to sing from the same sheet of music. I think that it would also involve contacting her friends to make sure they are on the same wavelength. It will take a Linda Tripp-type to get the truth out.

Well, can you blame us :) And if Ketchup Boy is innocent he could've and should've put this whole mess to bed (pardon the pun) with a vociferous, concrete, ironclad denial. No way, no how, NEVER.

But he didn't do that, did he?

Besides, character counts. And the prospect of another degenerate in the WH scares and saddens me.

It makes me utterly outraged that the media bastards, raked Bush 41 through the cactus needles over a quote in a book of an UNFOUNDED alleged affair! And how about the alleged rumor of cocaine abuse by W! Remember how the media WHORES went after him day in and day out?!! If there is a God, there will be justice paid to those clymers in the media soon!!

I think the DNC and the Clintons are playing a big game of GOTCHA. Drudge was the one who broke the story about x42 and Monica which ultimately led to impeachment hearings. They're getting revenge on Drudge and making the "right wing" look really bad at the same time for falling for his reporting this time around. "Just look at that VRWC---all they are interested in is political sex scandals."

Remember when Clinton first gave his half-hearted denial of the Monica deal. There was bad press about and many said, if he didn't do it, why wasn't he more indignant that false rumours were being spread etc? He then came back with his famous "I did NOT have ..." speech. When Imus first brought this up, note that Kerry gave a careful parsed response and did not express any outrage. Think about it. If you were a presidential candidate and somebody made up something and you were truly innocent, wouldn't you get on the offense and express outrage? Kerry didn't do that the two times he's responded to it.

Maybe Maroney is a beard. She'd go out with him only to meet up with Kerry.

WHOA, wait a minute. They can confrim thst she was dating some flunky, but when another flack was asked to comment about the allegation after it first broke the flack said he wasn't allowed to comment? And what the heck does this chick dating some other guy have to do with whether or not she was boinking Ketchup Boy? Why would her parents call Kerry a sleazeball?

We know he his a womanizer, even if he did not have an affair with this gal, but, comically, some here still want her to take one for the "Free Republic Team" and say that they did have an affair just to give us the chance to sit here in smug satisfaction.

Sounds like Drudge is gettting played.

Drudge and the reporters who got the parents on the record calling Kerry a sleazeball. Yes, the parents now vow to vote for Kerry, but that part was separate from Drudge. Are those reporters getting played, too, and the parents pulling their legs? I think not.

Then there is the friend talking about this business being nastier than the reports hinted at. Another one playing Drudge? No, because she did not issue that comment to Drudge but reporters for the UK, and also our freeper in Kenya.

Plus Polier's denial is downright bizarre, and four days to issue it? Does not compute. Why wouldn't her denial say "I dated his staffer and this is ridiculous" instead of the odd phrasing and omitting the staffer part. Her statement made it sound like she would have no reason to have crossed paths with Kerry.

I have no other than the usual interest in the story, but I'd say the facts do not point to Drudge "getting played", but some kind of coverup underway.

But I'm willing to move on---for the time being.

No, we want answers, at least I do. And we're still waiting for them. Like who paid for trip, when did she make the arrangements, what about that videotaped interview, why did her parents call Kerry a sleazeball, how long has she been engaged to the man she's calling her fiance, have her parents been in contact with anyone connected to the Kerry campaign, when was that letter postmarked...?

Doesn't make sense.

Fact: Clintons run the Demonrat Party. Fact: Hillary is to be President.

Fact: If Kerry beats Bush, Hitlery is a 65 year old hag in 2012.

Fact: If Hitlery is to run in 2008 Kerry MUST lose!

Which socialites and actresses did he supposedly (famously) date after his divorce? Lots of links say he did, but they don't include the ladies' names.

Morgan Fairchild, among others.
