Its tough being the center of attention in Pakistan.

The founder of country's nuclear programme, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, has suffered a heart attack, sources in the KRL hospital told Dawn on Sunday. He's lucky; he should've died of hot lead poisoning years ago!

Hey Tenent, I am not sure how to spell "stricknine"
would you read it off the label for me?
To: SubMareener
mebbe the Pakistani Security Forces decided that he was a "troublesome property" and gave him a special cocktail?

Cough cough ....how long before Khan shoots himself in the back of his head with a long-barreled shotgun in a suicide bid, and just to make sure hangs himself after blowing his head away, and then after hanging himself drags his corpse to a combined harvester and grinds himself up into mush, before having the ground-up pieces wriggle themselves into a kiln and burn themselves up? Who knows, the ash might even levitate and sprinkle itself all across the Pakistani countryside.

LOL ... that wouldn't surprise me a bit ... a plane crash ... a helicopter crash ... accidentally pouring concrete on his shoes just before going swimming, etc. etc.

Actually, this is not good news.
Given Khan's popularity, if he is to die now, it may totally destabilize Pakistan.
This would force us to respond, and it is not clear we are ready to.
Worse yet, even rumors may destabilize Pakistan.

" ....for his alleged involvement in transferring nuclear technology."
If he confessed, is it "alleged?"

They said Dr Khan had been suffering from pain in his left hand since being questioned by an intelligence agency... Coincidence?

Just today - after hearing that this fellow was a militant Islamist and the hero of Pakistan's lunatic fringe --- I was thinking it would be nice if someone arrange to whack the clown...
Wishes do come true..

I won't speak for anyone else on this thread, but I for one do not think this is a good thing.

All I can say is I hope we got all the info we need out of him first, then he can go where he deserves to go anytime.

hence the reason many of us find this too "convenient" ...

Dr Khan deserved the death sentence for disgracing Pakistan, and for making this world a more dangerous place for all people. Pakistan is now standing disgraced, as a rogue nation not to be trusted with anything.

Hi...Cap Huff,
"Oh boy. It looks like Arkansas flu has reached Pakistan."
My Thoughts EXACTLY...!

Could it be...?

Could be a Whole Lotta Shaking going on and I don't mean from Earthquakes either!
