Actually, this is not good news.
Given Khan's popularity, if he is to die now, it may totally destabilize Pakistan.
This would force us to respond, and it is not clear we are ready to.
Worse yet, even rumors may destabilize Pakistan.
I won't speak for anyone else on this thread, but I for one do not think this is a good thing.
A civil war in Pakistan is a frightening possibility. The place is a powderkeg. What if some crazies take advantage of the chaos and launch a nuclear attack against Israel or India?
