February 15, 2004 -- Serious doubts have been raised about the stories of two key Alabama National Guard figures who questioned whether President Bush showed up for weekend duty there in the early 1970s.

Retired Brig. Gen. William Turnipseed, the 187th's Tactical Reconnaissance Group's former commander, recanted his statement that he couldn't remember if Bush reported for duty, now saying his memory is faulty because he's in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's disease.

Just wasted the following as a "News Tip" to CNN.com:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/02/15/wus15.xml&sSheet=/portal/2004/02/15/ixportaltop.html

Story seems to be big in London. The Hindustani Times and the Australians seem to have it as well.

Can't tell you how funny this looks, seeing the Bush AWOL story slowly evaporate,

http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/17932.htm

while still no sign of what the rest of the world is allowed to know.

Is something going on here?

Have you wondered why George Bush keeps releasing information on his guard duty. In 2000 they brought it up. Bush denied it and that was it. This time the White House is releasing peoples names and have twice released records. Why didn't they just release it all at once or do what Bush did in 1994, 1998 and 2000.

Click Here for my take on the situation

John F. Kennedy had Girl Toys. Bill Clinton had lots of Girl Toys. Theresa Heinz-Kerry provest that John Kerry is her Boy Toy.

If Kerry wore lipstick Threesa Heinz's butt would really be RED!!

I have some questions about John Kerry's Naval Reserve record. The Boston Globe timeline web page shows him being discharged from the Navy on January 3, 1970. Then it shows him being discharged from the Reserves on February 16, 1978. Yet on several other websites, it shows his Reserve service to be from '72-78. Is there any way that I can find out exactly what years he was in the Reserves and if his status during those years was active or inactive? It seems strange that he'd be discharged from the Navy in '70, but not join the Reserves until two years later. I think it's important to know if Kerry was receiving any Reserve pay during the time he was protesting against the war and the government. And, if he was on active status, did he complete all of his required sessions.

"If Kerry is the answer, the question must be obscene."

I used to have a bumper sticker that read: "If Bill Clinton is the answer, it must have been a stupid question."

"Gotta wonder about the motives of this Burkett character."

There's no doubt as to his motives. He's had a beef going with the black Reserve Commander Bush appointed, and Bush as Governor of Texas over some physical ailment he claims he got while serving in Central America somewhere. He filed a lawsuit I believe but it was dismissed, and then he made claims of retalliation by Bush, etc. The guys a whack job.

"There is no message, just hatred for Bush..."

Back then, it was hatred for the government, the war and the military, and the message then, as it is today, was filled with lies and made-up stories.

I'm laughing at the new e-mail ad Kerry is sending out to attack Bush. He's reporting all the special interest money that Bush has taken. The problem with the attack is that Bush has never lied and said he hasn't taken special interest money. Kerry on the other hand has repeatedly lied, claiming that he's NEVER taken special interest cash, which of course the records clearly show he has...and then there's the quid pro quo that went along with it.

The problem with that story is that it was written by Doug Thompson, who is flat not credible.

I don't doubt that the democrats have the type of plan referenced in the article, but Thompson's rag isn't the one to use as proof of anything.

Retired Lt. Col. Bill Burkett had claimed he heard Bush aides talking about having his Guard records scrubbed and saw it happen.

Possibly a dimocRat? Nyah, they wouldn't fabricate stories. </sarcasm off>

Gee, it was all another DemoRat fabricated hit?

"Fabricated" is a nicer word than "lying" even though in this case lying would come closer to defining the "accuser's" statement.

It all sounds like very sleazy 'reporting' by the liberal media because they don't like Bush. And those 'journalists' don't bother to even try to find the truth out. They've really damaged their credibility!

Don't you have to own something before you can lose it?? Sadly Fox is beginning to look more like the rest of the lamestream media all the time, especially on Sunday. W must just drive these braindead liberals crazy with his GOoD fortune??

Pray for W and The Truth
