| TEN COMMANDMENTS MESSAGE EQUALS LOVE There has recently been a lot of media attention on the subject of the Bible's "10 Commandments" being posted on courtroom walls. No doubt there is much at stake over this issue. But as I read the Bible translation called, "The Message," I gained a whole new perspective on these 4,000-year-old mandates. Romans 13:8b-10 in "The Message" reads, "When you love others, you complete what the law has been after all along...any other "don'ts" you can think of finally adds up to this: Love other people as well as you do yourself. You can't go wrong when you love others. When you add up everything in the law code (the 10 Commandments) the sum total is love." As I pondered on this I began to see the positive in the 10 Commandments. Even though many of the commandments start with "Thou shalt not...," their main emphasis is helping us to treat others as we would like to be treated. For example, commandment eight reads, "Thou shall not steal." No one that I know of enjoys watching their prized possessions being carted off by a pirate. So, if we don't enjoy others stealing from us, we should not steal from others. Commandment seven says, "You shall not commit adultery." As a happily married man of 15 years, I would definitely NOT want to see my lovely wife taken advantage of. So, if your blood boils, as mine does, at that thought, then we should not be heading down that nauseating direction toward infidelity. Commandment nine deals with lying, and no one likes to play the fool in believing a lie. Treating others as we would like to be treated means telling the truth! Need I say more? The 10 Commandments give us a positive and proactive way of living a full and wholesome life, even though seemingly stated in the negative. To disregard them is a sure way of swiftly ending up in trouble, as well as alienating ourselves from God and others. I don't know how the courtroom drama will conclude. Whether the 10 Commandments will be allowed upon the nation's walls of justice is still to be seen. But as for me, I want to ensure that God's Commands are continually etched upon the chambers of my heart. Thought: When we break the 10 Commandments, we're the ones who end up broken. Our Gift, His Day
Today in coruscate display,
let us honor the Father of us all.
Celebrate His word and what it says,
showing reverence for the Maker's call.
Sing loud and hearty the old words of hymn,
and open doors wide to those beside you.
In faith give all homage to only Him,
and live His way to honor all you do.

We at Burka Man's campaign aren't that excited about it. Not because we can't find our candidate, but because we intend to be the next Administration in office. Hehe!

Just a slight irritation.
Looks like I nipped it just in time.

Unlike NASCAR, I've been to the Indy 500 a couple of times. It is such an awesome atmosphere. For Bobby's birthday this year, he's going to his first NASCAR event in Richmond later this year. We figured that would be the only thing that he would really want to do. He's got all the electronical toys that is out on the market. So? We'll give him something he'll love forever!!

Want me to call you to give you a colorful commentary during the race? It's the least MoJo can do since you don't have NBC. Yikes!

I took my son to some qualifying races at INDY a few years ago- he hated it. I even bought him all the kid sized gear , headphones radio...etc.
I told him had better straighten up and fly right in the future... He is going to be a race fan if I have to bribe him into it.
No way am I taking anyone to the race with me who whines. YEAH for Bobby! We may have to get these boys together so he can teach Jimmy a thing or two about being a good son.
