Dispel the "Kerry as-War-Hero" Myth Right Now! (CLICK HERE)

Dispel the "Kerry as-War-Hero" Myth Right Now!  (CLICK HERE)

In case nobody noticed, I should point out that almost every time we have a Media FReep -- e.g. the Imminence Myth or the Bush Recession Myth -- the media shuts up about the topic for a while (probably because they know they've been caught).

Anyway, there is an important myth that needs to be dispelled right now -- the myth that Kerry is a War Hero.  Click here if you don't know why this is a myth.

Here are three steps you can take to help dispel the myth.

1)  Open the "Write for W" window by clicking HERE.

Make sure to enter your ZipCode in the top box and press enter.  You will see a list of local papers.  Check off every paper on the list.  Then, fill in all the personal information and write an email.  If you don't have time, or need an idea as far as what to write, you can look at this sample email:

A person cannot be both a War Hero and a War Criminal.  John Kerry is not a War Hero, as he, himself, has admitted that he committed war crimes.  On Meet the Press on May 6, 2001, Tim Russert played John Kerry an audio tape from April 18, 1971, where Kerry was asked whether he committed war crimes in Vietnam.  Kerry’s response, on the 1971 tape, was:

I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 calibre machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions. . .

Therefore, having admitted to committing war crimes, it is disingenuous for Kerry to now claim the mantle of “Hero.”  It is even more disingenuous for the media to keep perpetuating the “Hero” myth.

Go ahead and send it!

2)  Fox News tends to listen to reason.  So, by all means, send them this email as well (if you need semicolons instead of commas, you can do it by hand or automatically find-replace in Word:

I seem to recall that the press also got all upset in the first Gulf War because the U.S. attacked fleeing Iraqis. A fleeing eneny may still be combat capable, and is a legitimate target.

I also urge Freepers to write CNN regarding Aaron Brown's report last night that the rumors of a Kerry affair is "Republican dirty tricks."

Don't let CNN or any of the other networks forget these facts before they go shooting their mouths off about the Republicans:

1. The reason Gore did not choose Kerry as his Vice Presidential running mate in 2000 is because it was well known Kerry has bimbo problems. This was reported in the Chicago Sun Times and several other publications.

2. Chris Lehane, a former Clinton staffer, has been shopping the Kerry affair story around the networks for weeks, according to the Congressional Quarterly and other publications.

3. Wesley Clark told three reporters last week that Kerry had problems that would erupt shortly. Two days ago Clark was heard yelling at reporters: "It was off the record."

4. ABC, Time magazine, and the Washington Post are reportedly working on the Kerry affair story. These are not right wing sources.

DO NOT let the press get away with writing this off as Republican dirty tricks.

Just a minor correction, a Navy Lieutenant (Junior Grade) is NOT a high ranking officer.

Sorry, I should have included a sarcasm tag. But I do notice the media always leaves off the "jg" when talking about LT Kerry. That's sort of an undeserved promotion for him.

When Kerry's Patrol Craft Fast 94 received a B-40 rocket shot from shore, he hot dogged his craft beaching it in the center of the enemy position. To his surprise, an enemy soldier sprang up from a hole not ten feet from Patrol Craft 94 and fled.

The boat's machine gunner hit and wounded the fleeing Viet Cong as he darted behind a hootch. The twin .50s gunner fired at the Viet Cong. He said he "laid 50 rounds" into the hootch before Kerry leaped from the boat and dashed in to administer a "coup de grace" to the wounded Viet Cong. Kerry returned with the B-40 rocket and launcher.

Kerry was given a Silver Star for his actions.

Just sent the following e-mail:

Mr. Brown should check his facts before he fires from the mouth that Mr. Kerry's triste with an intern was a "Right Wing Conspiracy". The fact presented thus far are the following:

Were this story to break just weeks before the election rather than nine months prior, his allegation may have had some legs.

CNN's continual slant of the news to the left by both hosts and reporters rather then presentation of the true facts is why your network will always be second best on cable and far behind the leader.

My apologies then. I missed the sarcasm, but when I think of your context I agree. The media kind of omits that he was just one rank above Ensign.
