Alex Polier -- The Kenya connection

For those of you interested in the Alex Polier Kenya connection here is a summary (repeating some of the stuff I wrote yesterday and adding waht little new info there is):

Alex Polier was, as of 5pm Kenya time, hiding out in Nairobi. She and her fiance, Yaron (sp) Schwartzman were staying at the home of his parents Joseph and Hannah. The London Evening Standard reported last night that she was already in the UK. They were wrong, although there is a possibility she may have flown later on last night -- but I think it is more likely she was still here.

Alex and Yaron were moved from the family's palacial home in the upmarket Nairobi suburb of Lavington late last night to avoid the press. They could be anywhere in Kenya -- at the coast or on Safari.

Yaron is believed to work in Nairobi at a company called Film Struck Studios or possible Film Studios. The company is owned by daddy. He is believed to move in a circle of friends known as the "cokehead set". Now there is more than one cokehead set in Kenya, which attracts old wealth, new wealth, British Aristocracy and some of the international gliterrati.

Daddy is the chairman of an engineering company called H Young, which is owned by former cabinet minister Nicholas Biwott. Biwott is a nasty piece of work. Former President Daniel arap Moi's right hand man, a Scotland Yard enquiry named him the prime suspect in the 1990 murder of Foreign Minister Robert Ouko. He plundered the Kenyan treasury and is known here as "the Godfather", "Mr 15 percent" (the cuts he took when awarding tenders to multinational companies) or "The Total Man" (he owns Total Kenya). Daddy is also business partner of Naushad Merali, another Moi frontman, a multimillionaire and probably Kenya's richest Asian.

This would suggest our man Yaron mixes with the 20 and 30-somethings who are the children or spouses of Kenya's leading criminals. The senior members of this set are Biwott's Israeli wife Rita and his son in law Charles Field-Marshall, a controversial Kenya-based Canadian businessman.

Even close friends of Yaron say they know nothing of the relationship with Kerry -- mainly because no-one really knows Alex.

The British press are finding it difficult to track her down -- they are attempting to "doorstep" her. This is a tricky process in nairobi where houses sit on 5-acre plots, cannot be seen from the road, are protected by big black gates, alarms, electric fences, a host of security guards and their dogs.

It has not helped that the British press were also watching the wrong house.

That's right. I am making that assumption. The source did not indicate the age. The source is not an intern-aged person, but in thirties or so, I believe. I think a staffer on a senate committee would be older than an intern. I would bet she's going to turn out to be in her late 20's early 30's, rather than in her early 20's.

She was also asked to run for her dead husband's Senate seat, but she didn't want to.

Leads me to believe her money gives her money power than First Lady ever would. No, this is John's gig - not hers.

What we need are 2 things:

1 - a directory of the staffers to the senate finance committee. And I don't mean the senators themselves, but their staffs.

2 - some people w/ connections on the hill to corroborate what I heard. This source had a bit of wine, so the lips might have been looser. Also the source was outside of DC when the source told me. But, perhaps this source, or others, have been putting out this same buzz in DC.

Definately -- there are still a lot of dots to connect here (which is probably why a lot of new orgs have not run with it yet, thier lib protection tendencies withstanding)

The Ap story has a lot of connecting to do still :
Parents confirm Kerry called her "out of the blue" and asked her to join his campaign.
Father calls Kerry "sleazeball" and says "HE HOPE's Kerry is not the type of man she would go after.
Mother says Kerry was "after" her
Friend says "lots of NASTINESS to come"
AP attended college in Worcester, near Kerry offices.
ONe Friend says AP is married, another says she is with her "fiance" in Kenya

Now the Senate Staffer:
Supposedly a SENATOR can verify
Possibly ON-GOING
Could be the smoking gun

The the Interns:
Looks like a number have funnelled straight into well placed Media positions (HMM)
How many others have gotten well-connected jobs
Wesley Clark says "Will implode over an INTERN problem

LOts of things to follow here, and to much to dismiss -- one girl (AP) could be blown off as someone taking a Job offer as more than it was. But when the rumors and threads start leading to multiple women, well placed jobs, High Rollers in Africa, etc etc etc -- well the antenni go up and something starts to smell a little.

The attraction for Kerry is that this girl has something that Teresa does not have........a 20-something year-old body.

Hey, I knew Teresa (and John Heinz) in Pittsburgh 30 years ago........ quite well. She was European hot, she had fine swimmers legs and a body that was tight and beautiful. I don't think she's changed way too much since then. And that little Jewish princess, Alex, didn't look too good to me.

Let's see what happens. Maybe Lurch has some pics of Alex on his D.C. computer. ;)

By the way, I haven't seen Teresa since the news broke on Drudge, have you?

Kerry Interns getting jobs at media outlets:

AP worked at ABC News and the Associated Press.
Melissa (from the Phoenixville url I posted) worked at New York Daily News.
A male also worked with AP at ABC News.

Parents say Kerry called her "out of the blue" to work on his campaign - this is what she would have told her parents - this is not what they know for sure.

Chris Crawford from Congressional Record confirmed that on Drudge - that is why Kerry was eliminated at VP running mate.

Kerry only came out and denied it stronger because even the Dems felt it was too Clintonesque for them and it hurt him.

This is a current senator, not Gore. But I will not contribute to the discovery of which senator, because I don't want the source outed. The source said, "And don't tell anyone you heard it from a _______ staffer"

But getting this democrat senator to spill his guts isn't likely. When they get to that level, they protect their own.
