John Kerry Sex Scandal: U.S. Media Blackout?
MND Newswire ^ | February 13, 2004 | Mike LaSalle

Posted on 02/13/2004 9:31:09 AM PST by new cruelty

According to news reports across the Internet and in various international publications, Democratic Presidential front-runner John Kerry may have had an extramarital affair with a 22-year old blonde intern.

As first reported by the Drudge Report on Thursday, a full-scale investigation into this is underway at Time Magazine, ABC News, the Washington Post, the Hill, and the Associated Press.

But the real story today may be the lack of coverage by the major American news media.

According to a story published today in MensNewsDaily.com, "A source at one of the major television networks (said) that they are specifically forbidden to talk about (the Kerry sex scandal) on the air until one of the other major television networks reports on it first."

A quick search on Google News at this hour shows that only two major U.S. newspapers are running stories on the emerging Kerry sex scandal: The Philadelphia Daily News and the Chicago-Sun Times.

Yesterday, MensNewsDaily.com (MND) posted a brief story on the Kerry sex scandal, but the story was never indexed by Google News. The last time Google News failed to index and MND news item was when MND published the name of Kobe Bryant's accuser.

Internationally, the Kerry sex scandal story has been covered by the UK Sun, the UK Telegraph, various Australian papers.

The New York Times today published a piece defending Kerry against Republican attacks, declaring "the beginning of what party officials said would be an attempt to undercut Mr. Kerry's reputation at a time when he is riding high from repeated victories in primaries and caucuses." The Times piece did not mention the sex scandal by name.

According to an exclusive report released overnight by political gossip guru Matt Drudge, Kerry is preparing a response to the groundswell of questions surrounding this developing story.

The Kerry campaign is too funny. This is the text of an email I received from the John Kerry campaign:

Trailing badly in the polls, George W. Bush is launching a negative attack on John Kerry. Bush couldn't even put this ad on television -- because he won't appear in it to back up its claims.

In an attempt to avoid an honest discussion of the issues, Bush has chosen to make his first campaign message to the American people a misleading, negative attack on John Kerry -- before the Democratic nominee has been chosen.

The video clip Bush sent, titled "Unprincipled," sounds like a campaign ad, although it was sent to millions of Internet users. This video demonstrates two things: the Bush White House is going to run a gutter campaign, and their worst fear is a Democratic nominee named John Kerry.

The clip attempts to cast Kerry as a pawn of the special interests. Well, we have three words for George W. Bush and his tactics:

"Bring. It. On."

We welcome a debate on special interests because there's nobody more vulnerable on this issue than George W. Bush. The fact is, George W. Bush has taken more special interest money than any person in history. It seems that since the Bush campaign can't attack job loss, health care costs, rising deficits, or other problems facing America, they've decided to attack John Kerry.

As I write this, in Madison, Wisconsin, two American patriots are standing together to bring a message of hope to voters. General Wesley Clark is endorsing John Kerry for President because Clark and his millions of supporters share our belief in Democratic values. It's this belief that's uniting America, and encouraging millions to vote for change.

The groundswell of support you've created is putting the Bush campaign on the defensive. Bush/Cheney '04 will use its $130 million -- and counting -- to consistently attack our cause. We must fight back, and you can help us right now.

We must continue to fight as our competitors pour money into next Tuesday's Wisconsin contest, and become increasingly aggressive. At the same time, we look ahead, and must consider the unprecedented resources of George W. Bush. For both reasons, we need your help now.

https://contribute.johnkerry.com

We urgently need to raise $800,000 by Monday night to fund our fight-for-every-vote Wisconsin campaign.

As always, we ask you to spread the word, and we always welcome your feedback.

Thank you for all you do,

Mary Beth Cahill

Campaign Manager, John Kerry for President

That would have had to been about six or seven years ago, and the "intern" would have just barely been 18. Old guys get into troube for this kind of thing if she wasn't at least 18. Divine right, or something.

And the sad part is Kerry was buggering Alex while she was still a student. Clinton ministered his cigar to Monica after she had graduated. No wonder Kerry voted to aquit. He had his own intern who was younger and still in school.

Alex was born in 1977 making her either 26 or 27. If she graduated Clark in 2000, it means that the affair took place most likely in 1998 or 1999 in Kerry's Worcester office. If she went to grad school at Columbia from 2000-2001, she was living in NY and was not an intern in Worcester. Kerry nailed her before she graduated and moved to NY it seems. Then missed her, contacted her in NY and wanted her to join his campaign. She said no. Now it looks like she quit her job at the AP and took off for Kenya.

I remember a time when I as a reader of the Washington Times was one of an exclusive club: people who knew who that someone named Paula Jones existed and that her story had implications for a Democratic politician.

I remember a time when I as a freeper was one of an exclusive club: people who knew that someone named Juanita Broaddrick existed and that her story had implications for a Democratic politician.

Today, I am a member of an exclusive club ...

Limbaugh reported that the UK papers quoted the alleged lady's father as saying "Kerry is a slime bag". And that "he [Kerry] pursued her, but didn't catch her".

This whole business about Alex Polier is a Democrat smear operation. Al Gore, Chris Lehane, Weasely Clark (acting as sock puppet), and the shadowy presence of Herself.

We have a winner!!!! Thank you for playing, you will receive the Free Republic home version.....

In all seriousnes.. this is the scenario that many of us here on FR have been expecting. Dean marginalized after demonstrating that the lefties CAN be violently motivated, Kerry disrupted by a bimbo eruption, so that at the DemoLib Convention (known as either Animal House or Animal Farm take your pick) the Hildebeast, can arise, a tear in her eye, and accept the nomination "for the good of the party" making the noble sacrifice to face W in the November elections. The mindless lemmings that follow the DemoLib dogma go ballistic.. Cheering, yelling stamping their feet, Dean and Kerry are told to fall in line... They will blow whats left of their campaign coffers on the election of sisty-stepugler (Hitlery) in "indirect advertisements" of themselves endorsing her, and therefore avoiding campaign finance entanglements, Her Heiness will then have a warchest nearly equal to W. WHat with Soros funneling money through a variety of fronts.. This only leaves the Veep slot... Clark of course. He has always been the Quaker Cannon in this affair. Heiness could never be seen as being involved in this.. Her skirts must be clean. So Clark was selected to be the foil through which the others were skewered.

Flame away if you like, but the stars and planets have begun their alignment. Think about it.. IF the Pubbies had this dirt, they would hold it until Kerry was nominated to discredit him. From a GOP persepctive there is NOTHING to be gained on sliming Kerry now. But, the view from "old crusty" is a bit different. NOW is the time that the ketchup king needs to have apprehension assigned to him. Now is the time to sow seeds of doubt. Think of it this way. The Clintons are "legacy happy" Dontcha think that if Hildebeast could claim that she was selected by acclaimation IN SPITE of the primaries and caucases, She will have won the nomination, without spending one single dime in the primaries. So her "$$ well" is deep and well funded. Besides, can you remember of any recently election where the convention delegates nominated someone who NEVER RAN??

Think long and hard about it Freepers... That is what is coming at us FULL BORE. Kerry is toast. Hitlery is on the Rampage!

Semper Fi!!

Cahill made a mistake. That should read The People's Republic of Madison or at the very least East Berkley. Our state capitol is a disgrace to the rest of the state.

This is a close parallel to the other JFK's dalliance with a young college girl. Her name escapes me but the revelation finally came to light recently, some 40 years later.

You are right,Owen, this is entertaining but not important.

The dems won't care if he is a womanizer or not, convincing the independents and getting out the vote of our likely voters are what's crucial.

Do you suppose a little ketchup money might have encouraged her to go to Kenya? Didn't TheRAYza come from Africa originally?

It seems like her parents aren't kneepadders like Lewinsky's parents. She told her dad that Kerry called her to join the campaign and she turned him down. But something happened when she was away at college at Clark, and I'm sure she didn't tell her Dad about what happened when she was an intern. I wonder how long she'll stay in Kenya.

Gee. . . It didn't take the media this long to jump on allegations made against Arnold Schwarzenegger?!?!? Oh wait that's because he ahs a (R) by his name.

$10 bucks says that the media treats Kerry's campaign with kid gloves over this whole issue. While of course if he was a Republican, they'd drag every crazy chick out of the woodshed with two bad words to say about him.

Meanwhile a choir of Wolf Blitzer, Petah Jennings, Dan Blather, and Tom Brokaw announce simultaneously . . . BREAKING NEWS ON THE CNNABCCBSNBC NETWORKS . . .

President Bush was a thumb-sucker! A united CNNABCCBSNBC investigative brigade has found a retired Nanny willing to step forward and swear to the shameful behavior. And she has photos to prove her allegations. CNNABCCBSNBC has subpoenaed President Bush's kindergarten records . . . more shocking news to follow!
