Kerry's Troubling Consistencies
Cleland Drops a Political Grenade
Will "Kerrygate" provide an opportunity for Hillary Clinton to "save the day" at the Democratic convention? R. Emmett Tyrrell , author of the new book Madame Hillary: The Dark Road to the White House, thinks that at the very least the chances of it happening have gone up -- way up. Quoted yesterday, Tyrrell noted that "the likeliness of Mrs. Clinton potentially grabbing the Democratic nomination in Boston in a 'save the Democratic Party' scenario has increased ten fold."
As pundits consider the Democratic Party's latest scandal, Tyrrell has released his Madame Hillary, shedding new light on the junior New York Senator and her seemingly unstoppable rise in power within her party.
About the developing Kerry scandal, Tyrrell stated that "'Kerrygate' could have a tremendous impact on the number one issue driving the Kerry campaign -- 'electability.' While many analysts and pundits will surely give the windfall to Sen. John Edwards, this could have greater impact on Sen. Hillary Clinton's political future."
Tyrrell went on to say, "It is fascinating that one of the driving forces behind Kerry's scandal is none other than friend of Hillary and recent Democratic Presidential Candidate General Wesley Clark, who Mrs. Clinton encouraged to run."
In a recent Wall Street Journal Op-ed, Tyrrell predicted:
"There are Democrats who want to loosen the Clintons' grip on their party. That grip has always been good for the Clintons but bad for the party. Will frontrunner Mr. Kerry be the next victim of the Clintons' political research teams? Possibly not -- he is the Washington insider that Mr. Dean is not. And it is not clear that he will be sailing into the summer convention with a great deal of brag and bounce. He may be limping in after still more primary battles. Then Hillary will make her grand entrance. With Mr. McAuliffe smiling from the podium her power will be vast."

I, for one (of many I'm sure), detected Hillary's fingerprints on this from the start.
They had put their hopes on Clark (who they had enough on to control) but he bombed.
Now that Kerry seems to be building too much momentum, they have to at least take him down a peg or two, even if they can't stop him from eventually getting the nomination.
If Kerry wins, she loses. It's that simple.

I keep seeing Hillary as Casey at the Bat, striking out when she finally stalks her way to plate. Here's a begining but can't fashion more:
The outlook wasnt brilliant for the Naïve Nine that season.
Ws approval was over 60, 9-11 was the reason.
And when the DOW breached 10,000 and we captured Saddam Hussein
A sickly gloom fell upon the leftist partisans in the game.
A straggling few got up to go to check up on old Ralph Nader.
The rest clung to a hope that wasnt even on the radar.
They thought if only Hillry could get a run at that.
Theyd put up even money now with Hillry at the bat.
But Dean presumed to bat first, and then so did Effin John.
And the former had a temper, the latter was too pale and drawn.
And so when Dean screeched to a halt, and Kerry waned in-tern
And John Edwards tried to prosecute, instead wriggled like a worm.
Thats when the cry went far and wide, the Party needs salvation.
And Hillrys name was chanted to thunderous ovation.
That's it so far. Suggestions welcome.

I hope Hildabeast runs as his V.P. and Kerry/Clinton are creamed in the election. That would put a crimp on the old witch's style - to think that not everyone adores her ... then again it could be another "right wing conspiracy".

Not necessarily. There's still 2008.
To: webstersII
I don't think so. If Kerry (God forbid) wins in 2004 he will be running for reelection in 2008.
When was the last time a sitting President has been bumped off by a challenger from within his own party? Kennedy tried it against Carter and almost pulled it off, but that is the only serious challenge I remember.
If Kerry wins, she loses. She will be too old to run in 2012.
