Republican state Controller Kathy Augustine says she won't challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Harry Reid this year because it's too late to put together "a successful and dynamic campaign team."
"You need a good 11/2 to two years before the election," said Augustine, whose decision follows a similar move Tuesday by GOP state Treasurer Brian Krolicki.

does not sound encouraging for taking out Reid, and he should be an easy target.

Go with Richard Ziser, no name recognition, but solid. He has a website, no time to get it right now. If everyone has dropped, Richard is the man.
To: William Creel
Heller is the last good candidate. Gratuitous graphic:

Is she talking about the time it takes to get her hair "just right"? : )
Bring on Woodcock, I guess. "Of all the words of tongue or pen . . . . "

Ziser would hurt the GOP. Why do you say that? Seems to me he's a decent guy, and he's most closely associated with a hot, popular issue, the preservation of marriage. He's a successful businessman as well.

You know, if "it takes 1 1/2 to two years to put together a campaign," WHY WASN'T THIS WOMAN WORKING ON THIS EARLIER?
I can't believe Nevadans will let this toad have another term because they can't nominate someone!

Reid was elected the last time because of the illegal immigrants voting for him. Does any Republican party leader care?
To: JohnnyZ
Nevada Republicans have frittered away their chances of winning this race. Maybe Jack Woodcock can make a credible showing, but I've stopped paying attention to this race.
To: William Creel
Chances are, Dean Heller isn't going to run.

And you sir, are a communist toady spewing your bile wherever you can find a gullible Freeper to "atomic wedgie"! Have you no shame!
To: FastCoyote
Ziser wouldn't stand a chance.

I think Woodcock will have lots of cash, at least.
