John Kerry to strike back at "infidelity"-coverage, will appear on Imus-Show
Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry is set to strike back at the "infidelity"-coverage by "Drudge Report" joining Don Imus on his Friday morning talk show.
"Drudge Report" had first broken the news of intense US media investigation into the two-year relationship of Kerry and a young woman, which is said they had since Spring 2001. The woman is said to remain at an undisclosed location in Africa.

It is now about 6:oo a.m. CST and I have been watching the program with a few breaks from the gitco.
Imus started off denigrating Drudge and then entering a long discussion comparing Kerry's intern problem with the President's "guard problem." He also went on at some length complaining that he didn't want to discuss this and then jumped on the idea that the Republicans were the genesis of Kerry's current problem.
The Fonda photo received some notice and FR was mentioned tangentially as a "conservative website." After denigrating the photo, Imus then went on to point out no mainstream media --ABC, FOX, CNN, CNN, CBS --have mentioned the problem and "perhaps we shouldn't as well."
Up to 6:00 a.m. one could summarize by repeating the Imus assertion this is nothing but the poltics of personal destruction. Incidentally, Dobbs wouldn't ask about it at all. Imus laid the groundwork for a softball interview by saying well he should have a chance to address it if he wanted to.
Don't expect a lot.

When Chuck started reporting on the Kerry intern story at the beginning of the show, Imus was trying to get him to clam up but his microphone wasn't working. By the time Imus' could get his microphone back to working, Chuck already reported on the story and a reluctant Imus had no choice but to discuss it. I am wondering if Imus was under MSNBC orders NOT to talk about this but accidentally on purpose had a malfunctioning mike while Chuck let loose with the story. LOL!

Those two used to make sandwiches in Geaogtown Bars. Maybe Imus will ask Dodd about his successful Chinese fundraising efforts - not likely.
I love the way Imus panders to whomever his guest is.

I'm sure PMSNBC is trying to quash this puppy. However in 20 minutes the story tears out into the open and today will be wild.

Imus just said he is coming up at 7:30. Kerry would probably LIKE to no-show but he knows better. Imus would never let him forget it.

That was with Teddy, right? I've heard him allude to it in the past, I believe? Maybe it was Bernard?

"Kerry will take the High Road as it were in this polar opposite universe we share our nation with"
An astute observation.
Only in the bizarro world of liberals can infidelity and homosexuality demonstrate true "family values".
The media, of course, will explain, rationalize, and justify this pretzel logic for the great unwashed.

On Hannity & Colmes last night, a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry specifically cited Senator Kerry's "baby killer" testimony as a contributing factor toward the treatement Vietnam veterans received when they returned home. I do think, however, that the best part of his interview was when Alan Colmes reminded this gentleman that Senator Kerry was "a war hero" and the Vietnam veteran spokesman shot back, "So was Benedict Arnold."

Just a little Monkey Business - people shouldn't get too worked up. Not like he was breaking in a fat intern.

It matters what f'n Kerry says, not Don.
Imus is like a referee in a boxing match. When neither boxer wants to fight, he forces them.
He really doesn't care who wins. He wants a good fight.
In Imus' case, he wants good material.

You got a weblink to the show?

Hahaha...somehow Friday the 13th and Kerry seem to go together.
Curious that they should spirit the bimbo out of the country to Africa. Doesn't Ter-ray-za still have digs in South Africa where she's from? This is getting very interesting...

True dat.
And if anyone was listening around 6:05 this morning they would have heard him admit that he is playing devils advocate in this....
