The policies that Bush has embraced as president, and the policies that Kerry has embraced as a senator from Massachusetts, should be what voters focus on in this election.

There is one tiny fact everyone seems to be overlooking: WAS President George W Bush written up as being A.W.O.L. back when the Democrats seem to be lying about it?
I served 4 years in the US NAVY and was AWOL on one occassion. I was written up, went to Captain's Mast and served my punishment.
It seems to me Democrats have tossed 'innocent until proven guilty' .... or even 'charged with a crime' ... out the window

If Bush had received a dishonorable discharge, it would have been germane during his first run for governor, or even the presidency. To raise that issue now, while he's a sitting president headed into a run for his second term, is nonsense. The man is functioning as an effective chief executive. It's a little late to state that his records from thirty years ago should preclude him from holding office.

The real hoot about all this is that the very people who are going after Bush with a vengeance are those who gave Bill Clinton a pass for dodging the draft completely. Not only did he dodge the draft, he burned our flag in the streets of Europe, and traveled in very high circles through the eastern block into Soviet Russia at a time when almost nobody could. This and a myriad of other disqualifiers were overlooked by these folks as if they meant nothing. Neither did direct payments from the top generals of China, specifically the daughter of the general who was in charge of the Tianimen Sqare (sp?) massacre.

Now these folks loft the Kerry/Fonda 2004 campaign. Aint life grand...
