Should have given them a copy of Animal Farm with the parts about some animals being more equal than others highlighted.

79 and 83 hunh? If this was for real, I wonder which one loses some benefits? I wonder how much of their assets will be used to pay for the nursing homes and in-home health care?

These city official must be on Karl Rove's payroll. A nationwide struggle over gay marriage, and the requisite constitutional amendment are extremely polarizing - 60-40 may be 70-30 our way. It beats having to fight elections year battles on 50/50 issues like the economy, SS or WMD.

Lesbians Get Married In SFBeing near SF myself, is it any wonder why this is a dating desert? Another in a long line of reasons why I went overseas to find a woman.

I wonder what will happen when they file a joint tax return with a married status? Can you say J-A-I-L?

Bush and the gay lobby acting in junction to help re-elect a Republican to the White House?
I've seen some real nutjobs in this forum over the years, but you may just take the cake.

If a marriage isn't consummated it isn't a marriage.
Consummate: 1.To bring to fulfillment. 2.To complete (a marriage)by sexual intercourse.
Sexual Intercourse:An intimate physical relationship between man and women involving the use of the sexual organs.
Scholars are going to be busy rewriting the dictionary.

Scholars have long rewritten the laws.
Where do you think legislators go when they want to write a law? There are groups which write "model laws". These are proposed potential laws. The most famous group is the ALI. Their rewriting of marriage laws is what mass and Hawaii looked at in sanctioning homosexual marriage.
There is no equivalent conservative "model law" think tank.
The standard for marriage under the law is 1. age of consent 2. not closer than first cousins 3. one man one woman (father/mother child breeding/raising pair) 4. not married to another.
If the only standard is orgasm as essetially establishe by the ALI and now SF then the only standard in law is feelings. (S)Why did you kill? if it felt good its ok. (/s)

As for the photo, just reminds me of what my Grandmother use to say, "there's no fool, like an old fool".
If this thing goes through, I believe a lot of elderly people will marry friends...even if they are not homosexual, so that they can share medical and soc. Security benefits. This whole can of worms is going to increase the national budget, to astronomical proportions.
