CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS - Thread 1

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive** **Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Hey, are you done with your intern? Think she'd want to take a ride on a Slick Willie?

I agree, my post, #169, stated exactly that

THAT's the wildcard we should condider. If it was a Pubbie, he'd be finished - WE wouldn't vote for him, cause we have morals. As for the Dems, it may actually have the OPPOSITE effect, and win him support. Go figure.

O'Reilly radio program ... Mr. O'Reilly mentions the rumor, says it's "old news," that it has nothing to do with Kerry's qualifications for Office of President. Ssyas any discussion relating to throwing medals, etc. is nothing more than a smear campaign.

Anyway, he's talking about the rumors, FWIW.

Is you post sarcastic? Is Hillary Clinton a practicing lesbian, or just an humorless heterosexual who'd rather read policy papers than sleep with her husband? (I'm phrasing this humorously, but the question is sincere.)

I said this morning that O'Reilly was going to back Kerry.

Bet you cash money he starts ranting about the Bush NG issue tonight.

Feh.

This is exactly what some Dem posters on a Dem site said about Kerry, months ago. Amazing. Those Dem posters actually predicted the correct margin of win for Gov Bush months before the Nov 2002 election, and now they seem to be right about Kerry. Too bad no one in the Dem Party leadership seems to read that site nor care about those Dem posters who are accurately predicting all this stuff!

Well, there have been countless references on this Web site to the possibility, but my friend's mother used to work for the Government in Washington DC when Hillary was first there years ago. It was pretty well known apparently.

Then she made the statement that Tipper Gore was looney tunes. That was new news to me.

I know the mother and don't see any reason why she would lie to her daughter about it. I even asked if she had heard the stories about Hillary and Vince Foster in Arkansas. She had not.

I wonder if he'll call for regulation of Internet content again? Will he attack Drudge again?

Interesting that Kerry's after war behavior (throwing medals, testimony before Congress, etc.) cannot even be discussed by O'Reilly, Matthews and Rep Ford, is it not?

I refuse to watch O'Reilley. My husband just can't stand him and if he's going to show he'd back such a leftist as Kerry, I have no interest nor trust in anything he says.

What are they predicting for 2004 (Presidential and Senate races)?

Is the site you refer to open to anyone, and if so do you have a link?

I don't watch him much anymore myself. Too full of himself.

I haven't trusted him since he said his favorite politician of all time was RFK. I am dead certain he will back Kerry...he is from Massachusetts origiinally and loves the Kennedy's.

Save your money. O'Reilly is talking about the subject now, based on a call, and is asserting that Bush was honorably discharged, and that ought to be the end of it. Plus "the story is 30 years old."

I listen to O'Reilly on the radio, sort of, because his superficial pronouncements are comically lame. I can't stand the big blowhard, I doubt many people take him seriously. Just interesting that he even mentioned the Kerry story that Drudge posted this morning.

Remember how quickly the mainstream media pounced on the story of one of the Bush duaghter's drinking underage episode?

The mainstream is not above trying to drag the President's daughter to the bubba level, but when it comes to one of their own, they are the "responsible" journalists.

He's got a liberal listener on right now, the listener starts spewing trash (not wholly intelligible), and Mark tells him- "why don't you put yout teeth in your mouth first and try again, thank you sir"... LOL

Tipper Gore - looney tunes? You make the call. This is a self-portrait painted by Tipper, nude and pregnant. I believe it hangs in their home:

It would give me nightmares.

Drudge always has positioned himself as a reporter who covers the reporters. Drudge prints stories that read, "Newsweek is working on...", rather than publishing the story directly. By doing so, Drudge has given himself the freedom to (legitimately) publish rumors. CNN is very biased, but they do hold themselves out to be "journalists", which means CNN has to appear as if everything they publish has been carefully vetted. Drudge, on the other hand, is without journalistic pretences, so he'll run with some stories before CNN will.
