CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS - Thread 1
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive** **Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Well, if it is true, he'll probably get re elected. 3 of the top 5 cities to live in the US if yu are gay are in Texas. Dallas, Houston, Austin. It was some national gay magazine. Here in Houston we have an entire neighborhood that is gay (Montrose). All the streets are lined with rainbow flags(not a joke).

Actually, that's a good point. Plus, being on the ticket, she'd be in a better position to undermine the campaign, ensuring her run in '08. Of course, there is the other theory: That being #2, Kerry could have an unfortunate "Vince Foster moment."

Sorry, I've been in the shower all day and missed half the fun. So in the end Drudge's bomb bombed?

"who first started the Lewinsky story." No, he first broke the story because Isikoff and Newsweek didn't have the b*lls to go with what they had, even though it was solid.

And Kerry was in Missouri campaigning. I don't remember seeing him there so it means Kerry lied.

I think Andrew Sullivan missed out on the fact that they're saying WESLEY CLARK gave a hint to reporters. This looks like an internal matter among the Dems to me.

I'll bet Kerry offered Clark the vp slot.Holy schmoly, that is the only answer that explains his recent or forthcoming endorsement of Kerry. Clark would presumably bring in additional military experience and the South. Hmmmm.

No, not at all... Everyone's avoiding it, except talk radio and Drudge... someone has tapes.

Thanks all!

Thank you. It's an interesting story - especially the Hollywood women connection and that the Boston Globe even then had been keeping tabs on Kerry.

I totally agree. I find it fascinating that the Democratic operatives are out so soon making the fact that Kerry is a lying, cheating scum to be a story about Bush.

CNN new poll is "Do you think that a candidates personal life should be left out of a campaign". MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Seems odd to have that, as it SEEMS not to pertain to any news that has YET to be released. Is CNN getting ready to bust the story.

Has anyone read Dan Brown's book, Deception Point? Excellent book. There's are scenes there that deal with the Senator and his top aid... eerily reminiscent of this story...
To: NYC Republican
I'm wondering if these revelations might not actually enhance Kerry's status with the Dem faithful by more closely identifying with the Democrat deities Kennedy and Clinton.

They're clearly alluding to this, while trying to make it a non-issue... Disgraceful...
