Holy schmoly, that is the only answer that explains his recent or forthcoming endorsement of Kerry. Clark would presumably bring in additional military experience and the South. Hmmmm.

well....Kerry could dangle the vp offer like a carrot to Clark for the endorsement, then renege and give it to Edwards. Clark has no power after the endorsement. (Presumably nothing in writing!)
