We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Because this is a primary race, there are going to be a lot of Democratic voters who may not care about Kerry's personal life at all ...This story was leaked by Clinton's sock puppet, General Jack D. Ripper Clark, and confirmed by Dean. So far it has no Republican fingerprints on it.

Dean is speaking on the Madison campus today at 2:30pm. Most people around here won't know about this by then - I'm guessing mainstream media won't pick this up for a day or two. I may just skip class to go check out the rally...who knows what interesting things might be said.

If today is not one of the all time classic Rush shows, I don't know what the hell will be. I wonder what those 500 and something demorat delegates to Kerry will do in Boston; pledge to Clinton, Edwards or Dean?

I am telling you, Kerry is their man no matter what. Why? What's the rationale for that? They've still got Edwards and Dean. How could they possibly defend choosing Kerry and only Kerry no matter what the people want?

ANYONE WHO COMPARES WHETHER THIS HAS LEGS TO THE CLINTON AFFAIR AND THUS DISCOUNTS IT IS APPROACHING IT WRONG. I've been reading The 4th Turning, which explains that things happen in cycles rather than in a linear fashion. In the cycle of the current era we're in, which isn't the same as the cycle we were in during the Clinton years, things like patriotism, values and virtue matter MORE than they did back then to the general populace (this is also why the Janet Jackson thing isn't dying, but will eventually result in tighter restrictions). That's also why the Bush White House FINALLY released records related to his Alabama service, when he's previously been attacked on it since the early 1990's. He didn't "need" to defend it back then, but he does today, according to what people value in the "crisis" cycle that we're currently in.

Kerry's systematic distruction of the soldiers moral is far more important.
Since he is doing the same thing in Iraq.

I agree. If Theresa bolts then this is a story. If she sticks with him...it means nothing. Infidelity on the part of democrats isn't damaging anymore. Now, if it were a Republican, he'd have to withdraw from the race immediately.
This all depends on Theresa's reaction.

Yeah, right! Clinton could just jump in here. Nothing embarrassing like this is going on in her life at the moment!
