A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

Hmmm. I think Drudge underestimates exactly how big he's gotten. He's got a lot of people hovering around his site right now. It better be something a lot more interesting than that.

Not to say that that wouldn't be big news- but it's not sexy. When Drudge clears his board and puts out the siren, he commands a lot of attention- all jokes aside. He is a force to be reckoned with.

I just wish he'd come out and tell us. If he fumbled the snap on a spoof photo- fair enough. I'm not going to stop going to his site. He's just one guy, he's going to make mistakes. But I wish he would leave us hanging like this.
