President Bush, at the Fort Lesley J. McNair National Defense University in Washington, announced new measures to counter the threat of weapons of mass destruction, for toughter international safeguards to keep nuclear arms technology from falling into the wrong hands.

He plans to attend the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Welcome to Sanity Island to enjoy today's Dose of W!

I love this picture that someone posted on another thread. I thought I would share it with those who missed it.

Blowing bubbles with bubble gum.

Yup.

The problem I was trying to solve was the initial upload: helping someone to get a picture off their harddrive and up to someplace I could get at it. For small stuff, email is ok, but for big files, that can have problems.

With a little more polishing, I am hoping to be able to work up a set of instructions that would enable the typical Doser, if they have a little patience, time and tolerance for this techie stuff, to at least get a picture (or MP3) to a server on the web where someone like yourself or I, who has space and expertise, would be able to get at it and move it to a good place for posting and being linked to.

The free web sites aren't useful for direct linking, but they might be useful to provide that initial upload. The folks at a place like Yahoo! spend alot more time than I could ever afford getting that initial use of their services useful to a wide audience.

Kerry’s record doesn’t support his claims that he will be a Commander in Chief who will fight to protect America. President Bush has already proven that he can, and will do so.

VERY GOOD OhioWfan!!

Do you honestly expect anyone here to tell a legendary Doser like yourself that you shouldn't post a letter defending the President here?? Good grief.

Go for it.

On your recommendation, I may get the book for my daughter.

Our priest Sunday talked about marriage and used the analogy of deposits and withdrawals.

Everyone has withdrawal times ... when they are cranky or depressed, etc. The thing to do is make a lot of deposits ... being supportive, fun, nice, loving, so that there is still a balance when you have to take a withdrawal.

I thought that was pretty neat.

My daughter is better on withdrawals than on deposits.

Thanks! It's heading for our local paper, via e-mail.

We have an ANG base nearby, and some are in Iraq. The bashing of the Guard needs to be made public, IMO, and Kerry's TRUE stripes revealed.......

Wow. You have really cut a lot of irritants out of your life.

I can't seem to do that ... yet.

But I may. It's getting ugly out there.

Lucky for you, we are updating our ping list.

If you want to be on it, you won't have to work at finding us again. We'll ping you when we post the thread, and you can find it in your "New Posts to you" or "My Comments" area, which is the same thing just called by two different names depending on where you are.

(And yes, as a tester extraordinaire, I've pointed this out to Jim and John but nothing happens.)

Welcome to sanity island.

That's a great letter. You got everything in and still stayed within the word limit. Not easy, but you nailed it.

Sorry for your troubles! Better make sure you have your cell phone in that van in case it traps you! :-)

My knee and leg are a little more bruised today but not nearly as sore. Thanks for asking.

How about a margarita?

I figure that every one of us should write a letter to our local papers.

People need to KNOW what a dangerous man John Kerry is, and they're not going to find out the truth in our local papers or on the news.

***Ted Was on TV going on about the Republicans reading the memos on the commputer ***

I could not BELIEVE it when he talked about what a "tragedy" it was. He made it sound like people had died or something. the REAL tragedy is those judges waiting around and not even getting their up or down vote . . . he is such an ass.
