As the feds zeroed in on Martha Stewart, the domestic diva suddenly took over her assistant's desk, grabbed the computer mouse and, with a few clicks, changed an incriminating telephone message from her stockbroker, the aide testified in court yesterday.

According to Charles McCord on the Imus program, the FDA today will approve the use of whatever product the people at Imclone were worried about in the first place.

Interesting testimony. Admittedly, I'm not familiar with many e-mail programs, but Eudora won't allow editing of the original message. To reply or forward the message, changes can be made. But they cannot be made to the original in the way the man testified. Anyone have info on other e-mail software?

This wasn't e-mail. Stewart changed her PA's phone logs, then decided to change them back. Too late.

This isn't an email message--it's a computerized phone log. I think that the entries are made manually in the first place, so they're editable.

After making the alteration, Armstrong said Stewart "instantly stood up and, still standing at my desk, she told me to 'Put it back the way it was.' " But Stewart's clicking proved difficult to undo.

Someone needs to tell this woman about CTRL-Z.

She will do some hard time, not much perhaps, but the evidence that is being introduced supports a felony conviction. Even the plum pudding lovers in the jury can't turn their eyes from this criminal conduct.

I don't like Martha ... but I like these Feds even less

This is a witch hunt (litteraly and figuratively) for some prosecutor's personal political gain

You approve of lying to the authorities in the course of a criminal investigation?

So far this trial has been a disaster for Martha. She has been exposed for the egomaniac that she is and it will be hard for her to overcome "the law is for the little people" picture that the prosecution is painting. Granted, we are in the middle of the prosecution's case but this is getting uglier that I thought it would.

Yea .. it's my right against self incrimination (where have I heard about that before??)..... no one should ever speak to the Feds if they can hold you to such a silly standard which is then applied capriciously and arbitrally

Martha needs me on the jury. I would follow the U.S. Senate decision that perjury is not a crime...everyone does it!

Whether she's convicted or not isn't the issue for me, but her story points out a critical matter that should be branded into the minds of every American.

Never, ever talk to a fed investigating you. Keep your mouth shut. Tell your story only once - to a jury and judge. Anything you say will be used against you.
