The Islamist vermin infest all the major cities, and often used mosques as fronts for their terrorist ops.

LOL, I was thinking the same myself, only we're in Vermont. As much as people bash on Vermont politics/politicians (and with good reason), we still have some of the loosest gun laws on the books and there are a huge proportion of people up here who are armed to the teeth.

I keep forgetting that there are places in the North where people hunt, own guns and are not Ted Kennedy liberals. I was born in Massachusetts and still have the bad taste in my mouth. (moved South 30 years ago)

I'm more worried that the reaction will be, "we brought it on ourselves", "we deserved it", "we had it coming", etc.

That might well be the reaction from our friends in the media and academia, but it won't be the reaction of the "American street".

I think you're referring to Tet 1968. If that's the case, it's worth noting that the Vietcong (who conducted the offensive, as opposed to the North Vietnamese Army regulars) were decimated.

Sure, they got onto the U.S. Embassy grounds and held it for a few hours, but in the end they were slaughtered.

By all accounts General Giap was in a big funk about it until he heard that Walter Cronkite had pronounced that "we have lost the war in Vietnam."

I'm going to guess here - you may not have studied or appreciate MST - Military Science and Tactics. A few well trained individuals can do exceptional things - the scene in Gladiator comes to mind - in the Arena - about to be slaughtered - Maximus asks - anyone here been the military? and they proceed to kick @ss as they follow his orders.

And these people are willing to loose their lives in their effort... I am impressed - you bet I am. How many did it take to murder 3000+ on 911? How many at Pearl Harbor? etc.

There is profound power in unity of purpose.

The odds of you being directly effected (killed/maimed) are slim. The odds of you being economicaly effected are great.

Do research on what a squad of Marines can do. And they want to stay alive.
