Terrorists ready for holy war in 40 American states
IAN BRUCE, Defence Correspondent February 11 2004
ISLAMIC terror commandos are being infiltrated into the US in preparation for "an American jihad" from within, according to intelligence sources. Dozens of radicals trained in camps in western Pakistan and Kashmir are already believed to have slipped into the country and been absorbed in sleeper cells in unsuspecting Muslim communities as the vanguard of a holy army estimated to be several hundred strong. An FBI spokesman said al Qaeda and allied organisations were thought to be operating in 40 American states, awaiting orders for terror attacks. An official said up to 400 known radicals had passed through the camps. Many of the camps are run by Harakat-ul-Ansar and Lashkar-e-Taiba, militant groups with links to al Qaeda and a history of grooming guerrillas to attack security forces. India and Pakistan last month announced a peace initiative on disputed Kashmir. General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan's president, said his country would not allow terrorist training on its soil. However, Indian and US intelligence agencies claim to have surveillance photographs and intercepted signals which show that between 60 and 70 camps are still in use. Some which were closed after the September 11 attacks on the US have also been reactivated. Pakistani authorities have arrested hundreds of al Qaeda suspects, including Abu Zubaydah, its top recruiting officer, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, chief of operations, and Ramzi Binalshibh, paymaster of the September 11 hijackers. US officials suspect that Pakistan's inter-services intelligence agency, which created and fostered the Taliban movement in Afghanistan, has not broken all its Islamic links with terrorist organisations. FBI agents last year arrested 11 men, including nine US citizens, for involvement in what became known as "the Virginia jihad". All were accused of engaging in terrorist training at camps run by Lashkar-e-Taiba. Six have since pleaded guilty. Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, Pakistan's ambassador to the US, yesterday denied the existence of any terrorist camps in his country or in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. In Ukraine yesterday, the foreign ministry denied reports that scientists had sold nuclear weapons to al Qaeda. Markian Lubkiyvskyi, a spokesman, said Ukraine had transferred all its nuclear weapons to Russia by June 1, 1996.

Bingo, Joe. You nailed it. Unless they're spotted on the way to their targets of opportunity, and taken out, it'll go off very quickly.
I shudder to think of the consequences of bio and chem being unleashed on large cities's populations.
That said, I've loaded up 6-20rnd mags for my AR-10, 12-40rnd mags for my two AR-15s and 5-8rnd mags for my Kimber 1911A1 .45cal ACP.
Also, went out this morning and bought 5,000rnds of assorted ammo to augment the 10,000rnds I have here in my Canon gunsafe.
Here in York-Lancaster Ctys (PA), they'd stick out like a bloody nose, driving anywhere in daylight. When/if TSHTF, I'm locked 'n loaded. Ready for the *jazz*.

Hot Damn!!! We (in the South) get another hunting season. I wonder what the bag limit will be?
To: DooDahhhh
well, ya know without actually thinking about it hard I could see people beating the snot out of us for that type of opinion. but frankly i look at my two little boys 5 and 3, and imagine their faces as they ask daddy what's happening to us a chem or bio weapon goes off nearby. i wish more people think about the ugliness that we are facing! but, leave to our liberal friends to keep our minds on bush's national guard duty, please...
sorry, but my primary purpose in life is to keep my family safe!

"the open border madness, and immigration "free for all" I agree 100%. As for having the means to defend oneself, well, I've never known anything to be a 100% garauntee, and I'd rather have a good rifle than not, just in case there is a chance to employ it. The long-running situation in Israel is a good example of this. Sometimes ya win, and sometimes ya lose. But it sure beats dying like a helpless sheep.
Stay well,

Ready for the *jazz*.And you'll most likely be watching the aftermath on TaaVaaa like most everyone else. It don't matter if they stick out like a bloody nose, so do the millions of people that are here illegally. They could be driving by you on your way to greedy mart, and or working at greedy mart, and no one would bat an eye.
The round you have chambered will still be there when it breaks on the news...Unfortunately....

Anybody ever fly over the US and notice just how much "stuff" we have built and how difficult it would be to destroy even a slightly significant part of it.
Unless they are about 400,000 strong, they are only going to make us mad. We know where that got the middle east after 911.

I think we need to find out what means something to these animalsI think we already know what to do. If you promise to bury them with pigs, it gets their attention (they think they go straight to hell). I have heard that Gen. Pershing did this at some point to some local terrorists he was dealing with in North Africa, with good results.

It seems to me that the border agents that examine their passports, visas, etc should change their mindset from asking "Is there any reason I should not allow this person in?" to "Is there a cause great enough for me to allow this person in?". But I'll not hold my breath....

Hot Damn!!! We (in the South) get another hunting season. I wonder what the bag limit will be? LOL, I was thinking the same myself, only we're in Vermont. As much as people bash on Vermont politics/politicians (and with good reason), we still have some of the loosest gun laws on the books and there are a huge proportion of people up here who are armed to the teeth.
We have a few guns (mostly shotguns and hunting rifles), but my father in law has an enormous collection, enough that we call his house "The Arsenal".
It's hard for me to imagine them starting something up here unless it's in one of the weenie college towns. Anywhere else and they'd end up with so many rounds in them forensics would never figure out where they all came from.

Mr. Mojo, Steve Emerson wrote a book by that name, still available at Amazon, and also testified before congress. Mr. Emerson is credible and knowledgeable.
Ernest, would you please do a favor here, and post that map picture one more time for Mr. Mojo and all on this thread? I know it's from 2002, but it's the latest public information that we have about sleeper cells...
