Freeper Interview Series: Harpseal
Patriot Paradox ^
Posted on 02/10/2004 11:56:13 AM PST by sonsofliberty2000
The latest interview in the Freeper Interview Series is now up at Patriot Paradox. The interview is with harpseal, and here are some highlights:
Do you feel that the capture of Saddam will improve our chances of completing our mission in Iraq sooner, and moving on to another terrorist haven?
Yes, The capture of Saddam Hussein is a very important milestone in the war on terror. It shows the USA can root out even very well financed and formerly powerful individuals even in the nation where they held power. The importance of the psychological impact of Saddam's capture cannot be over stated. The inspection of Saddam for head lice and for suicide capsules was a clear message that the USA is now dominant in Iraq and continued resistance will not bring the Baathists back to power. Now I will let those wiser than I decide on his trial and eventual execution and cheer from the sidelines.
In recent politics what would you say was the most surreal moment?
Clearly when in FL the Gorons were saying count all the votes and challenging the military absentee ballots.
What person has your support at this time for President and why?
George W. Bush because he is the best man for the job and there is no one else out there worth a bucket of warm piss running. Besides that he is a known quantity and a good man and a good president.

The FIS is an series of interviews with Freepers to help us understand where our compatriots are coming from. Interviews will be posted twice weekly and we hope this helps us unite and stir up the conservative base. If you have a suggestion of a Freeper who merits interviewing, let me know by Freepmail. Suggesting your own self is perfectly acceptable.
Also, sorry to all for the delay in this interview. Been extremly busy with college, and life. Hope to have a new one up soon. Also, if you wish to help me out go by and read the review of my site at Weblogreview.com. Here is an excerpt:
This blog also loses points because it tends to be a bit blinkered in its remit. For those of us who don't live in a US-centric world, the arguments and content tend to become superficially interesting but ultimately irrelevant. We have nothing in the UK which compares with the pro-life/ pro-choice debate for example. Also Christianity seems to be much more hardline in the US too, which I had trouble identifying with from my own experiences. Ok, there are a few general posts to be found here (funny news stories, personal entries, film reviews and the like) but I found that these were rather few and far between. I also took off half a point because I fundamentally disagree with many of the arguments presented in the blog - my prerogative as a reviewer! Although homophobic and racist ideas are by no means overt in this blog, I felt that they maybe were not too far below the surface and were certainly hinted at in a few of the posts.
For those who know me: am I racist and homophobic? You can rate my site there as well if you want, but you have to sign up to do so.

Well, buddy, I knew you were a good and honorable man before, but the answers you gave merely reinforced that. Someday you have to tell me about that phone call on 9/11.
On to victory! :o)

Thank you for this great interview! Harpseal is my very, very most favorite Freeper. My only gripe is that he doesn't post enough.
Harpseal, I knew you were a great guy before, but you went up even higher in my estimation since you own a walker hound. They are wonderful dogs, aren't they? I had a young one a long time ago when I lived down in Louisiana, but he disappeared on the opening day of dog-hunting deer season one year and I never got him back.

I enjoy your interviews, FRiend, and I look forward to every PING.
I hope you find the center in the balancing act that your life seems to have become.
Thank You, for this little service to us all.

I recall a statement harpseal made a while ago, I think it was on one of the "Joe Schultz shooting" threads. Referring to the trigger-happy goons whom our domestic tyrants would unleash on the innocent citizenry, he said something to the effect of, "I will never yeild; I will never surrender".
Right on, harpseal, right on.
