Favorite Putin quotes...

""If you are a Christian, you are in danger," Mr. Putin said. "If you decide to become a Muslim, this won't save you either, because they think that traditional Islam is also hostile to their goals." Then he said this: "If you are determined to become a complete Islamic radical and are ready to undergo circumcision, then I invite you to Moscow. We are multi-confessional. We have experts in this sphere as well. I will recommend to conduct the operation so that nothing on you will grow again."

"If we catch them in the toilet, we will rub them out in the outhouse."

More favorite Putin quotes...

"Russia will not soon become, if it ever becomes, a second copy of the United States or England - where liberal value have deep historic roots."

"History proves that all dictatorships, all authoritarian forms of government are transient. Only democratic systems are not transient. Whatever the shortcomings, mankind has not devised anything superior."

"Anyone who doesn't regret the passing of the Soviet Union has no heart. Anyone who wants it restored has no brains."

I thought the problem was Wahhabs in Chechnya, not Chechins in Wahhabia. Mebbe I should read the article again: It seems to gloss this point.

Founded in 1999, the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya is the only private, non-governmental organization in North America exclusively dedicated to promoting the peaceful resolution of the Russo-Chechen war. Chaired by former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig, Jr. and former Congressman Stephen J. Solarz, the committee is composed of more than one hundred distinguished Americans representing both major political parties and nearly every walk of life. Former Ambassador Max M. Kampelman is the co-chair emeritus

Ahh, Mr. Brzezinski, Carter white house and unofficial Clinton white house....also deep hater of all that is Russia, who advise the destruction of Russia and who quoted on article to say in 1996 that no one has to fear Islam International, since it is not real or threat to US....I bet families of 3,000 would not agree.

Then Haig who serve paranoid and crook Nixon and

SOLARZ, Stephen Joshua, a Representative from New York; born in New York City, September 12, 1940; attended public schools in New York City; B.A., Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass., 1962; M.A., public law and government, Columbia University, New York, 1967; taught political science at Brooklyn (N.Y.) College, 1967-1968; served in the New York State assembly, 1969-1974; delegate, Democratic National Mid-term Convention, 1974; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1993); unsuccessful candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress; appointed by President Clinton as chairman of the Central Asian-American Enterprise Fund and served from July 1993 to the present; is a resident of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Interesting company kept....maybe next you post something of Amnesty International, UN, MoveOn.org or Communist International, to support your place....I hear, Bin Ladin has many good pieces you like too.

I would be interested in substantive dialogues and comments in this forum concerning this issue. It appears the so-called "al Qaeda-Chechen connection" is nothing more than a revisionist myth.

Well recently 5 pieces of revisionist myth killed on Pakistani boarder with shoot out with Pakistani soldiers...also four such pieces of "myth" sit in US prison in Cuba...oh but that may destroy your Islam induced excuses. Fusion Jr? I know many Americans none respect type of Fusion, so when you say in NC he is respected man, that make me think that you either him, or you friend of him, because no where is he listed as speaker or politician or anybody to know....hmmmm.

Fusion's new reincarnation has no problem of Wahhabs...even better if it is Wahhabs in White House, for him.

Typical Fusion ramble off story:

Senator Patrick Ballantine at GOP Club

Posted by Jomini to Incorrigible; Wraith; Gael; Constitution Day On News/Activism 04/13/2003 4:04:51 AM PDT #3 of 10

The former candidate was jet lagged and found it difficult to concentrate on the excited ramblings of the state senator's young staffer. But the kid was enthusiastic so he listened intently. "We're thrilled he's running for Governor. Will your organisation be able to deliver Down East in the General?" -- the staffer asked.

The former candidate thought it might be a good idea to get the six term state senator through the primary first -- there had been rumblings from Wayne and Beaufort that many bridges had to be rebuilt first. However he liked the young legislator from the coast and replied, "Sure, give the Senator my best..."

The event was a Reagan Day Dinner a county or two north of the State Capitol. The White House choice to run for US Senate against the Democratic incumbent (and Presidential candidate) was keynote speaker and the local GOP faithful were all buzzing. Talk of politics was everywhere and the former candidate enjoyed catching up with his political allies.

Seventy-two hours earlier he had been in Manila with the Hawk -- wrapping up five weeks of consulting work and preparing for the next fight...

"Will sixty snake eaters be enough? I think we can force the MILF to the peace table and Abu Sayaf is on the run, but that new Communist army up north is much stronger than these intelligence estimates indicate..."

"Sixty is plenty for now -- and don't worry about the intelligence estimates. Try and remember what's important is that we know what's going on. If GMA decides to suspend the constitution next year and seek another term then she had better be ready to declare martial law and put the army in the streets. Either way I suspect the Philippines will have civil war next year," the Hawk said -- while pouring another glass of red wine.

"Just make sure those conservative Republican friends of your's get the word," he added. "We will need additional funding by the fourth quarter..."

The former candidate forced himself back to the present as the young staffer wandered to the next event patron and another round of hand shaking. He would have to file in January and soon begin to prepare himself for the next campaign. It would be exciting to watch the Republicans grass-root both a Gubernatorial and Senate win against the hated Democrats...

But first there was the business of the olde country's defence. According to the Hawk the Balkans were simmering -- which meant it would be a good time to check in with the Colonel...

I did a little digging on the good prof's site. Seems he thinks that Russia and others are using the WOT as an excuse to persecute Islam because of the West's religious bigotry. Hmmmm.

Is the poster, formerly known as fusion, the actual professor?

I live two miles from UMASS Dartmouth. Be interesting to talk to some of his students. I wonder if he's a convert?

I really don't think there's much merit in his worldview, from the bit I know and have read. Seems kinda paranoid.

The Jamestown Project (link on his site) might be described by CBS news as "a shady organization with possible ties to Islamic terrorists". I wouldn't say that, but CBS might...if they weren't ...y'know...the way they are.

Shame on you, Jomini/Fusion!

Here you are on this thread pretending to be some dumb ignorant kid. Big mistake to do it under your Jomini screen name. Gee, it's so hard to figure out...

Fusion fancies himself a student of military strategy and, wow, here's someone with the screen name "Jomini" carrying Fusion's torch. (Hmm, I wonder if he's also registered under Sun Tzu and Clausewitz.) Like Fusion, Jomini admires that brilliant strategist, General Giap.

I used to really enjoy Fusion's posts. I took them as delicious satire on several levels and thought they were wicked funny. I suppose it was what I read into them, not what you wrote into them. C'est l'internet.

Now here you are trying to get a rise out of us with this tripe. And after some of us stuck up for ol' Fusion. You are beyond the pale, sir.

Well, Jomini-Hominy, kiss my grits. (If you're a real tarheel you know what hominy is.) I'm done with your games.

Russian Tarek Cossaks ===

Terek kazaks. "Cossack" is ukranian word means thier noble man the member of gentry.
Russian kazaks wasn't noblemen they was kind of militarized peasant-warriors. Their land is called "kazak region" or "force". There was 18 kazak forces in Russian Empire.
All of them went against commies during Civil war 1918-22 and all of them was destroyed after commies won.

FYI the second chechen was was tarted by chechens themselves by attacking Dagestan.
BEFORE that war there was few terrorist acts in southern parts of Russia. The perpetrators was captured and sentenced. One of them the warlord Raduev died in russian prison.

AFTER war started and turned badly for chechens they turned to terrorism. Now they comnpletely went into it palestinian style. That is suicide bombing.
None will deny that suicide bombing possible without islamic indoctrination at big level. SO they do.

So chechens may be WERE moderate islamic ethnicity but during soviet rule. Today they become islamic extremists and few of them - terrorists- suicide bombers.

That's one of Jomini's best posts ever.

Fusion himself used the flashback style in another post that I only wish I could find that had him going back to 2 other previous memories while sitting in the audience of a political speech that wasn't all that engaging.  That was the best post ever!

Say what you will, Fusion is an excellent writer and I was happy to have him congregate with those of us who strew words on screen like the rocks on a Martian plain.

That Jomini guy, well, he's just a good ole' boy who likes to spin a few yarns for us yankees to enjoy.

Yes, yarns of islamic suiciders exploding Christian women and children and joy that this brings....you have very strange taste for fiction/reality...do you also enjoy tales of US soldier dieing when exact same suciders explode in Iraq or Afghanistan? Or is it less personal since when it is Russian or Jew or Serb or Hindu who die?

Well now Incorrigible, I see that you have posted Hoplite's most probable piece of fiction titled "FUSION's FRACTURED FAIRY TALE". I believe this was a very irresponsible thing to do old boy as you may well be helping Hoplite to continue to slander someone who is most likely not Fusion or even worse.

Are willing to bet on it old boy. From What I understand this individual mentioned in the parroted post is somewhat connected down there in the Carolinas and I wonder if he lurks on FR? I have asked Jim to pull your somewhat irresponsible post and maybe I have save your ass from a lawsuit and who know who else? Very nasty! You know how it is in the US it does not take much and I may have saved you from someone getting mid evil on your ass in a civil kind of way. Do you know that FR posts come up on the INTERNET all the time. Makes me wonder if you are one of those that just likes to jump on the band wagon when someone is down and is getting the boots to him.

Hope I have been of assistance and by the way, why don't you go ahead and ask Hoplite how sure he is about the person mentioned in Fusion's Fractured Fairy Tale. Maybe Hoplites not so sure either which makes you a fool's fool. Have a nice day old boy.

It just chaps your hide that nobody takes you for the expert you think you oughta be, doesn't it?

I'd suggest that your "English as a second language" writing style goes a long way towards stripping you of the credibility you seek, Wraith.

I'd suggest a lot of other things too, but wouldn't want you to go 'mid evil' or anything.

You.
Me.

If you have any other concerns with anthing I've written, Wraith, try to be a man about it and take them up with me.
