Mansoor Ijaz On The Brit Hume Show (Fox News)
Please help me fill-in the discussion with Mansoor Ijaz and Brit Hume about the spread of nuclear weapons.
Mansoor said that at least 3 other countries beside Libya, Iran and N. Korea have nuclear technology from Pakistan and 'maybe' 2 others.
He seemed to confirm that the terrorist have 'dirty bombs' and are anxious to use them now that the US is aware of them.

Ijaz is referred to as a man of mystery in the book Loosing Bin Laden. He is a millionnaire who made a promise to his dying father that he would try to keep Pakistan from falling into the hands of terrorists.
Clinton appointed him to many special missions and although I don't recall the specific mission you mentioned, there were many within the Clinton State Department who were dismayed to say the least at the missions that Ijaz was sent on around the world by Clinton.

"In other words there are US experts crawling all over the Paki nukes." Something like that...I don't recall Mansoor's specific words.
This sounds like there may be extreme Islamists elements associated and involved with the Pakistan program that may still be 'at work' on supplying Al-Qaeda and not under the control of Musharraf.(?)

Well, I will go along with "the man of mystery." Seems like he came out of nowhere and is an expert on all things in the war zones.
I am interested in this theory that the WMD's are in Pakistan.
To: Dog
I saw that comment about Tony smiling, but I don't remember on which thread! I do remember it seemed that more news would be coming out that would be good for us.
To: Dog
I did not see the Sunday AM show that he was on. It was in the Sun Talk thread. Something was said about his smiling, knowing some upcoming news that wuld be good for W.

The book Loosing Bin Laden is worth reading, even if just to read the many large sections devoted to Ijaz.
The Pakistan story is getting more and more interesting every day. It makes sense given Ijaz's background that he would have many contacts there.
I'd typed notes about Ijaz so I could provide additional information on his background and the many special missions that Clinton sent him on. But I cannot find my notes now. Figures. If I find them, I'll send them to you.

Yup. That was on my list, too. The achilles heel of America, from the South, something unexpected that could cause HUGE repercussions if disclosed! Similar to Cuba.
What a Khan of worms this episode is. ( Thanks to Times of India for that phrase.

He some credibility on this issue. His father was involved in Pakistan's nuclear program and he himself studied nuclear physics and went to school with a lot of people who are currently in Pakistan's nuclear program.
To: blam
if he had this much info, would the govt ask him to shut up or might he be a conduit between the govt and the people?

More of Mansoor and his unimpeachable sources.
Saudi is widely reported as a recipient. Who else, Syria, Egypt?

I saw this interview...very odd...the General looked like the cat who swallowed the canary....he would not give up any info, only to say *you'll see in 60 to 90 days*. I've been thinking about this all day...the way the General said it, surprised me.

To: Endeavor; Dog Gone; All
Mansoor also said in mid-December that by the State of the Union address, we'd have evidence of wmd's in Iraq.
~Endeavor
He cries wolf a lot, but I haven't seen no steenkin' wolf.
~Dog Gone
There's a reason why we "haven't seen" the evidence.
Strategery
Once Kerry starts echoing the screaming Gore, but not before, will the real salvos start. There will be a "paradigm shift" (henceforth to be known as a "Paridigum Shift") in the WOT/Iraq and the opposition research attacks on Kerry will be devastating. My main concern is that Bush waits for the right timing; he's doing a good job of it now.
Notice the "emboldenment" of the Rat attacks after the "weak" MTP performance.
Drawing them in...
Just like we're drawing in the terrorists....
Strategery. Keep the faith.
